This is not the first time that I have posted on the Lorraine family, but I want open discussion on the famous poem by Charles Péguy...
Croix De Lorraine

The arms of Jesus are the Cross of Lorraine,
Both the blood in the artery and the blood in the vein,
Both the source of grace and the clear fountaine;
Both the blood in the artery and the blood in the vein,
Both the source of grace and the clear fountaine;
The arms of Satan are the Cross of Lorraine,
And the same artery and the same vein,
And the same blood and the troubled fountaine.
And the same artery and the same vein,
And the same blood and the troubled fountaine.
Composed by: Charles Péguy 1914.
I have alluded to the connection of the House of Lorraine to the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, and recently placed a thread in the articles section of the forum on the medieval perceptions of Muhammad, and by extension Islam, and the extent to which such ideas are still prevalent and propagated in the contemporary world. It is well know that Templar converted to Islam, with in fact this being part of the basis for their accusations and trial. My posited hypothesis is thus, is Péguy referring to the blood of Fatima?
