Annhilator...thanks for answering our questions, I must say youre a lot friendlier than many evangelicals and atheists I've encountered.
I am no one special so there is no need for me to act like I am special :angel2:
So my question then is: Do you believe the creator God to be the God of the Old Testament? Was Lucifer a creation of this God, and if so does that mean Lucifer is limited and doomed to failure?
I believe that the old God of the OT 'created' man (via intervention) and Lucifer too.
However I also think that what we westerners and arabs/semites call God is not some omnipotent super entity...although it might have seemed like it...after all technology if sufficently advanced enough is indistinguishable from magic.
Lucifer is just a rebel, rejecting his servitude and helping humans to do the same and be their own masters, some believe that he/she (lucifer) is a tool of God, to explain why God simply hasn't just annihilated him/her already...I say God hasn't the power.
Yes Jesus is called the 'Star of the Morning' (Venus) which is also what Lucifer was named for as you point out...it is these clues we look for
