If hatred is adverse to love, what then are the consequences of hatred's action?

If you keep it alive and let it grow, it can swallow you up. It can take on a life of its own to the point that the object of the hatred no longer matters, and only the hate does.

Mutual destruction? Hatred is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Hatred is the flip side of love.
The opposite of these is disinterest.

The result of actions taken in hatred is hurt and distruction.

Hatred can overcome your mind so that you don't think clearly, and you will do harmful/destructive things that you normally won't do when you are clear-minded.

unless a backfire is set, yes.

    Song of Solomon 8:6
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel asthe grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

In simplest terms, hatred would eat you/your life up like a cancer.

Wouldn't that depend on the circumstance and the specific action?

there is a difference between hatred and correction.

as many as i love, i rebuke.

don't you want somebody to love
don't you need somebody to love
wouldn't you love somebody to love?

Why would a useless or deleterious neurological response have evolved, if it weren't selective in some situations?
