ding dao in Mandrin technically means "do you dare the Dao?" and is translated as "Are you a Daoist Master?"
I was actually asked that!
In Japan the Mandrin pronunciation is used for "Are you enlightened?"
All loss of face questions are asked using a Chinese euphemism. So that if the answer is loss of face, in this case it's the affirmative, you can pretend you don't understand.Interact
