judge, yes i know i killed another vegetarian bisesual asian moslim but the were both annoying me, 1 was sleeping with my seconed wife and the other was sleeping with my first wife
If the motivation isn't clear, then it's not a hate crime. Hate crimes laws don't mean it's a more serious crime to attack black people or gay people or Muslims; they mean it's more serious to attack them simply for being (or being perceived as) black or gay or Muslim.

As far as that goes, hate crimes laws also apply to anyone who attacks someone simply for being white or straight or Christian.
