Gopashtami

Mukesh Sharma

Foundation of Hinduism
Gopashtami is the 8th day after Deepavali. It is the day from when, Lord Krishna started looking after the cows.

On this day, people bathe their cows and decorate their horns. Then they do Puja to the cows and express heartfelt gratitude to the Mother Cows.
