GOP race. One down, two to go.

I've been wondering if Romney will pick Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his running mate. Ryan has a budget that's popular with Republicans and is a staunch social conservative, which would help win the South and perhaps belie fears that Romney is not socially conservative enough.

I'm not sure if who Romney will pick actually matters. With only a minority of Republicans supporting him anyway, and Santorum really having done a number on the GOP race, I think his cause is nearly hopeless.

I really think the Republicans have basically shot themselves in the foot.

I agree with you in general, but I can see the Republicans winning if the economy doesn't improve a bit more.

I don't know why people call Romney a Flip-flopper. The Republican party is the biggest flip-flopper. How many candidates have they flip-flopped this season on who they support?

Cain, Bachmann, Gingrich, Perry, etc.. etc... Conservatives are the true flip-floppers. I don't understand how it's so difficult to pick someone? I guess they are easily swayed?

Its hard to find an electable candidate when you are a Conservative. A candidate has to get in a contest about who is the most conservative in the primary and then reinvent themselves during the general election to appeal to moderates.

Yeah, Democrats can get away with just running as moderates the entire time, because their base is used to being marginalized :p.

Both parties are stupid. There is no need to pander to your base. Its not like Liberals are going to vote Republican or Conservatives are going to vote Democrat anyways.

Elections are all about how Moderates vote.
