Good Question

I believe the priest was wrong. The sin exists whether he knows it or not. The only people who escape Hell are those without sin.
Then no one escapes Hell.

John 8:7
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

He rested means He stopped or ceased in His work..

Nope. That's not what the Hebrew/Greek words mean. You are now tying to excuse what it clearly a very silly idea: that a being with Infinite Power, needed an afternoon nap or something.

The entire narrative is quite silly, really. Making plants before sunlight? What did the plants do? Die off from no light, then get magically re-created on day 8 or 9?

Why would God simply forgive?
He did..

Really? Then what was that whole Torture Jesus And Kill Him shtick for?

And what's with the whole ritual requirement to become a slave, before getting forgiveness?

Again-- why not just forgive people?

It's absolutely contrary to an Infinite Good Being to be so ... maliciously sadistic.

Consequence? The bible's god cannot possibly be GOOD.

So it's either EVIL? Or doesn't exist.

Signs and Symptoms of Psychopathy

Psychopathy: Definition, Symptoms, Signs and Causes | HealthyPlace

The signs and symptoms of psychopathy are identified most commonly in scientific studies by Hare's 20-item Psychopathy Checklist-Revised. This checklist identifies the following as the symptoms and signs of psychopathy:

  1. Superficial charm and glibness
  2. Inflated sense of self-worth
  3. Constant need for stimulation
  4. Lying pathologically
  5. Conning others; being manipulative
  6. Lack of remorse or guilt
  7. Shallow emotions
  8. Callousness; lack of empathy
  9. Using others (a parasitic lifestyle)
  10. Poor control over behavior
  11. Promiscuous sexual behavior
  12. Behavioral problems early in life
  13. Lack of realistic, long-term goals
  14. Being impulsive
  15. Being irresponsible
  16. Blaming others and refusing to accept responsibility
  17. Having several marital relationships
  18. Delinquency when young
  19. Revocation of conditional release
  20. Criminal acts in several realms (criminal versatility)

Yep. That list pretty much describes the bible's god quite well.

Especially #1, #2* #3** #4*** and heck-- the whole list, I can find an example wherein the bible god does it.

Even #17: Wherein bible-god rapes an under-age teen, gets her pregnant, then runs off like a deadbeat daddy...

.......

2 * The first 4 of the infamous 10 commandments are all about God's narcissism.

3 ** God demands constant prayers and accolades.

4 *** God is constantly saying one thing, then doing another. From the very beginning: "if you eat of the tree of knowledge, this very day you will DIE" Adam eats. Adam lives to 600 years or something. Darn if that wasn't a Whopper.

6 the whole Noah Ark story-- god murders all the babies on the whole planet, and doesn't seem to be bothered for having done so.

I could go on, but I'm kind of getting nauseated at the depravity contained in the bible...

Thank you for the list! It's a brilliant summary of the actions of the biblical deity.

Even you have a thousand scholars
A thousand bibles
A thousand angels
A thousand years of thinking
It would not change the fact that in

Isaiah 40:28 New International Version (NIV)
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom.

Let us not be zombies, mindless and dead
If it is written, then how can one who hasn't lived even 120 years change it?
Not even the POTUS can change it.

:p:p:p:p:p

Hi Sir Bob:

Please check your BP and pulse rate, we don't want to raise 'em up for "someone who doesn't exist", would we?

Well the list are 20, a patient or subject has to hit 20 for 20.

  1. Superficial charm and glibness
  2. Inflated sense of self-worth
  3. Constant need for stimulation
  4. Lying pathologically
  5. Conning others; being manipulative
  6. Lack of remorse or guilt

  17. Having several marital relationships
  18. Delinquency when young
  19. Revocation of conditional release
  20. Criminal acts in several realms (criminal versatility)
Since you say that God does not exist, then He can't be evaluated for the 20 items on the list.
However, the current POTUS might be a winner.
