What's the worst that's gonna happen? You die? That's gonna happen anyways, tomorrow's never promised.

Life would be a terminal illness if physical death is seen as the worst thing that can happen.

its not death, or the end of something that bothers most folks. its simply having to change and the unknown.

    but it's gonna come

I have a song I'd like to share later if I can remember.

    I agree.

I would rather die peacefully than say, have my country taken over by Russia or China.

I'd rather die than watch my loved ones suffer. I'd rather die honorably than win with tyranny. I'd rather die than watch all the things I treasure destroyed right in front of me. I'd rather die than destroy other's life. I'd rather die before all that I hate becomes reality. I'd rather die a hero than live long enough to see myself become a villain [yeah, Batman quote].

But all that already happened. I die a dog's death everyday. So [physical] death means nothing bad to me. Death is liberation. I yearn for it. I yearn for the day I complete all of my duties and responsibilities to God my family, myself, and embrace death once and for all. I yearn for that day like a prisoner yearns for freedom from the prison walls.

Death is win/win for me, both in case there is God and afterlife, and in case there isn't. I don't why people think there is anything bad about death.

I had just read the short book called 'on the happy life' by seneca. What an amazing writer, I think it should be mandatory study in public schools. One quote that I think will remember is this:

"For we are mistaken when we look forward to death; the major portion of death has already passed. Whatever years be behind us are in death's hands."

Therefore , you yearn for what you already had. In other words, death/life is not a binary thing . It may form a certain percentage of what you are, or the majority of what you are, if you are old enough to be beyond 'middle age,' and if they don't create medicine to renew organs in the next few years.

I find tomorrow is promised in Scripture because Jesus has the power of the resurrection.
The ' future tense ' is used at Acts of the Apostles 24:15 that there ' is going to be ' a resurrection.....
Jesus will reverse death, and for those who prove to be righteous ones can gain 'everlasting life' at this coming time.

I find that the Resurrection and Rebirth discussed in the Bible, is a metaphor of the ongoing process of Spiritual revelation to the individual if they so choose to be Religious. But this is not the purpose of this thread.

I find a reason why people think there is anything bad about death is because: the Bible teaches that death is an ' enemy ' - 1 Corinthians 15:26.
False clergy teach a literal hell fire after death.
King James translated the word Gehenna into English as: hell fire.
Gehenna was just a garbage pit outside of Jerusalem where things were destroyed. So, Gehenna is a fitting word for: destruction.
Death means the whole world is shacked in the prison precinct of death meaning we only have partial liberty now while we wait for deliverance from the death sentence.
So, we are still walking around in the prison yard of death, just Not yet shut up in our prison cells ( aka tombs ).
Because of Adam being our father (life giver) to the human race, Adam bequeathed a legacy leaving us the inheritance of: death.
Right now salvation ( deliverance / rescue ) is just by hope. Hope in the resurrection promise.
The Bible assures us that we can be saved from Adam's death trap for us.
The awakening of the 'sleeping world' (the dead) in the morning (resurrection morning) is when pardoned sinners will be awakened from death's slumber to come forth to favorable conditions because Jesus has the resurrection power.
Meaning the time is coming when sin and death will Not reign over humanity.
There will be No more death warrants, No death watch, and hopes will Not die.
All this is going to be possible because faithful sinless Jesus died a Hero's death for us.
Thus, Jesus has full power or control over the great prison house of death's detention.
Jailer Satan does Not have, nor will have the keys to unlock death's door. Jesus has those keys - Revelation 1:18.
On Resurrection Day ( meaning Jesus' Millennium-Long Day of governing over Earth for a thousand years ) out of death's dungeon will come the prisoner.
( aka the jail bird ( us ) pardoned for our errors).
Those who hear and obey Jesus' voice get to walk out of the valley of the shadow of death (No more death valley ) but to the original perfect life ( everlasting life ) with the benefit of ' healing ' for earth's nations - Revelation 22:2; Isaiah 35th chapter.
