Does Ahriman even stand a chance?

It's not me, this is the Problem of evil. It's a deep philosophical problem which poses a big challenge to the Abrahamic concept of God. I choose to believe evil is separate from God, not a part.

I don't see any problem in it.
Zoroaster believed in One-God Ahura Mazda, the Creator and worshipped and prayed to him, and none else.

Yes, but he did not say Ahura Mazda created Ahriman. The idea that Ahura Mazda created Angra Mainyu is based on an interpretation of an English scholar during the 1800s by the name of Haug, and was quickly accepted by the Parsis to save face with Christian missionaries and the British. It was also objected to by Parsi Gujarati priests but the English interpretation won for a while.

Modern scholars believe that the original interpretation that Ahriman is a separate entity from Ahura Mazda is the correct interpretation.
