The two main characters seem to live in a house with different owner. Tom is much bigger than Jerry but he is quite stupid and aggressive. On the contrary, Jerry is smart and flexible as he always knows how to get away with Tom’s making trouble.

Certain ones were better than others. Tom and Jerry is created by Hanna & Barbera in 1940 and seems to have inspired Looney Tunes to produce Sylvester the Cat in 1945. The two are considered competing series! Sylvester's nemesis is a bird named Tweetie. If you like Tom & Jerry you may also like Sylvester & Tweetie.

You asked and so I answer. I've always hated Tom And Jerry. Even as a child. Hated them and Woody Woodpecker, and Popeye . . . and a dozen others. I guess to each his own.

Compare them to Sylvester & Tweety.
See.....Tom & Jerry suck.
Their only possible saving grace is perhaps inspiring Itchy & Scratchy.

Btw, Micky Mouse was also useless but for....
