That's great to hear! How is the cat doing?
Pretty well! The kids named him Chauncey.

He's not all out feral, but he gets nervous about walking feet and a lot of movement. He both greatly wants to be in the kitchen(where the food is), but greatly fears it, nervous of the small space with lots of feet. He's crying less and less from fear over these feet every day, though.

He comes and goes, seeming to prefer to be inside more than out. He does not have any idea what to do with a litter box, though. I have one other cat that won't use one, but he waits at the door like a dog. I'm wondering if this might be easier for Chauncey, and am trying to give him this option as well.

He seems overall healthy; I notice no problems. He'll need to be fixed at some point. He's very, very thin, but I anticipate he'll gain weight as he has constant access to food now. He's a picky eater for a stray, though. Most strays I've seen will gorge on anything; he won't eat people food(except chip dip). He recognizes cat food bags, which makes me question if he was once a pet. I checked the Pet Alert, but I don't see him missing on there.

Extreme thinness is often a result of worms. I would suggest getting Chauncey dewormed.

Where did the name Chauncey come from?

I haven't seen any signs of worms, but it doesn't hurt to do anyways as a precaution. Thankfully, that treatment is something the vet lets me pick up.

Chauncey is one of Ares's favorite default Sims on Sims 3.

Give me some good or funny news please. I feel really down today and need a dose of something good.

A close friend and I once went out intending to spend the whole day together, and unbeknownst to us, it was Valentine's Day. She was wearing pink and had a flower for me. I had a whole bouquet for her. (Neither of us knew beforehand what the other would get.)

Once we sat down and had all of the flowers on our restaurant table, we got a lot of stares from people who thought we were a couple. She looked at me and said, "Pay no mind. A good enough friend can feel like a partner." :D

I occasionally love to search "mice site:bbc.co.uk" to get both recent and old science news about mice. Its full of funny, frightening and fascinating information.

Are jokes okay?

Did you hear about the robbery at the glue factory?

It was a stickup.

What's worse than raining cats and dogs?

Hailing taxis.
