Did you not see the big green grinning smiley at the end? It was a joke.
I don't care how old you were or often or when you played with yourself.
Well, you're correct, I missed that it was a joke...my bad, and I apologize
However, I wasn't meaning to talk about me, I was meaning to talk to the fact that whether many people like it or not, children have sexual feelings and questions from very early in life, and I think it important that they learn about sexuality both without fear and embarrassment, and also with some competence and honesty. The world is much more complex than it was, and there's so much more going on that kids can be exposed to, including other sexual identities (possibly even their own), easily available pornography, misinformation and disinformation in the playground and schoolyard, dangerous predators, their own anxieties, and a host of other things.
I would like to say this, too, but for the record, it is only my own conjecture: a lot of children who have had their lives horribly altered by sexual abuse, by family members, people they trusted...including clergy, as we know too well...might well have been in a much better position to defend themselves had they been given enough information early. I think that might be worth thinking about...
