How do we know the earth doesn't revolve around the moon?
Because the motions of other planets and stars relative to us would be different if we revolved around the moon.

Just like the stars position differs when we orbit around the sun. If the sun orbited around us the positions of the stars from earth wouldn't change. Problem solved?

Sure if you want to continuously add more and more epicycles every time a new heavenly body is discovered.

Uhh..Nope..not solved.

CAI will write a check for $1,000 to the first person who can prove that the earth revolves around the sun. (If you lose, then we ask that you make a donation to the apostolate of CAI). Obviously, we at CAI don't think anyone CAN prove it, and thus we can offer such a generous reward. In fact, we may up the ante in the near future.

Wow. That's pretty lame. Downright ignorant too.

Whoever this guy is, he's smart. He knows there is no way to PROVE the Heliocentric model.
In science, nothing is proven. Everything is just very very very very likely to be. This is the philosophic basis of science.

Still...I can see many scientists not realizing the trap and trying to prove it to him. Its just like the 'Elephant in the Room' problem. There is no way you can prove to me there isn't an elephant in the room with you.
