This.

edit: Eve was probably very hot. If he had only got mad with her it would have seemed suspicious

But god went along with their shame by making clothes for the two, so how much of a disparagement and insult could it have been?
Gen. 3:20 (NASB)
"Now the man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all the living. 21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.

I take it as "okay, I made the most awesome body in the world for you. AND YOU HIDE IT?! sigh* okay, I understand you have bad taste. Will this garments best than those silly leaves, no?"

There actually is a Christian sect that practices nudism. The name of the sect is The Nudist Christian Church of the Blessed Virgin Jesus. It was founded in the 1980s by someone who calls himself Zevs Cosmos. He claims that in 1985, God commanded him to travel to an area near the Utah-Arizona border. Once there, Jesus and an angel appeared to him naked and told him to go to a cave on a nearby ridge. While in the cave, God gave him a new revelation to be added to the Bible, after the Book of Revelation. The title that he gave this new revelation is The Book of Zevs. The revelation instructs Zevs Cosmos to build a nudist city called Cosmos, which is to be located near the Grand Canyon. The Book of Zevs also condemns Mormons for their practice of polygamy and their belief in the inferiority of black people. The church teaches that pornography, crime and other social problems would be solved if society would adopt a nudist lifestyle. They are also against female genital mutilation and male circumcision. By the way, if anybody thinks this religion is a joke, it is not. I got this information from a book called The Encyclopedia of American Religions by J. Gordon Melton.

The Bible never mentions nudity in and of itself as being sinful. It's when you make it sexual that it becomes sinful. In fact there a re number of passages that mention it in a neutral or even positive light.

I have nothing against "nudity", provided it is in the proper context and respecting the law.

In the Early Church adult Christians were baptized in the nude, usually having to bathe fully in the water. There were also known gatherings of Christians who went to the assembly starkers (naked). Most didn't but such groups existed and are mentioned by certain Fathers. The rationale was that Christ had returned humanity to the beginning, original purity before the Fall, when Adam and Eve were "naked" but not ashamed and so Christians should likewise be naked but not ashamed. However the practice fell out of use because there was fear that people were using the meetings to satiate their lusts and "hook up" in a kind of libertine fashion rather than pray together without sexualizing their naked bodies in the sacred space.

Today is very hot, so I am naked in my home. But if I ever feel the urge to go evangelising I'm sure underwear will be worn as a minimum.

I wouldn't want anyone to be distracted from my message.

What is it that makes the naked body sexual? You mean when someone lusts after a naked body the body then becomes sinful. If I lusted after my neighbor's goat would that make the goat sinful? To my way of thinking there's no reason to place the onus of sin on the goat, or a naked body, but perhaps on the one doing the lusting. The goat or naked body certainly can't help how other people regard it, so why blame them?

Oh actually I agree with you. There has been too much blame lately placed on women for the way they dressed and that essentially because of that they were "asking for it". So no the naked body is not to blame. I agree however, I mean behaving in a deliberately sexual manner which can be done while wearing clothes.

I think nudism is fine for kids. It only causes problems amongst adults who, from lack of exposure, have come to equate it with sex.
Pedophiles, or any randy people, are going to pursue their personal sexual fixations clothed or unclothed.
That is true. Many people associate nudity with sexuality as pornography...as promiscuous, but the truth is,in nidist or naturist establishments, there is no connotation of sexuality with nudity. It normal people living normal lives...doing normal things ..just doing it in the nude.Sex does have a role to play as it has with textiles. As a matter of interest...naturist/nudists have a very high ethos in general...and kids are protected. There is a difference in living a nudist life style...and just visiting a nudist beach...its like walking barefoot...some say its unhealthy...when the opisite is true...some say it causes illness...the opposite is true...some say its against USA health laws...it is not...why?Because of misconceptions and ignorance.
What's the difference eating a burger clothed or eating a burger naked...eating a burger barefooted or shod...same thing...no difference...its about eating the burger...not the bare feet...not the shoes...not the nakedness...
So it is with nudism...its a life lived...not promiscuous unhindered sexual indulgence...sex has exactly the same role to play is a nudist house hold as with a textile house hold...its not all the time...just some time...
People need to be educated concerning nudity.

Reminds me of what a Christian pastor said at a nudist colony said who was being interviewed on t.v. (it just showed his upper half), namely that anyone who thinks that nudism is sexy has never been to a nudist colony.

BTW, I never have gone to one because I don't like hearing people scream.

It's more than a little ironic.
Mostly the same people who think that the human body is usually unsightly and must be covered in fabric also find that the human body is going to inflame their unholy lust and so must be covered in fabric.

I have found differently, hanging out with naked people. Everyone is beautiful, but not many are sexy.

Scream in admiration I presume.
