Trump is proposing a new color scheme for the Air Force One. Representing the colors of our flag and America in general seems extremely fitting and long overdue.

Aside from a few socialist Democrats who really hates any type of symbolism reflecting our country, need not apply. They are clearly worthless anyways given the unbridled hate they have for this country to which I really don't care about what they say.

I wonder what the proposed design will look like?

Of course I would still like to see the Presidential Seal. Maybe on the tailfin overlaid with a wavy rendition of the American flag that goes down the entire fuselage of the aircraft. I would think it would look really nice and something to be proud of.

If it's a whim, I agree. However, airplanes need new paint jobs every few years. When they're due, I think the new livery is a good change.

I'm against letting foreigners become involved in US politics just as I suspect that they feel the same about their own politics.

It was not a serious suggestion.

Dude, nobody said people can't see an airliner at 30,000 feet. Just that the paint job didn't matter.

I was pointing out paint isn't a factor with planes such as AF1.

This is the design for the new Air Force 1 fleet being ordered, not a repaint of the existing aircraft. Ironically, Trump is unlikely to every fly in the new planes as they’re not due to be delivered until 2024.

I don’t like the man either but that’s no reason to misrepresent the facts to attack him inappropriately. This isn’t about Trump up and deciding to repaint any planes unnecessarily, it’s part of the long-running development process for the new fleet, in which he was probably presented a series of options developed by other people and just picked one. He put a bit of his boorish and nationalist spin on the announcement of course but that’s hardly the worst of his sins and is no justification to respond in kind.
