    Even if the animals dont have souls, the method by which they are killed are too brutal. I was born into a veg family. But I am staying a veg for both religious and what do you say- like the 'animal version of humanitarian' reasons.

    sat means good. n sang means group/friendship. so satsang basically means to be in the company of good people. It is really true. No matter what path we follow, wherever our destinations are, if the people who walk with us are not good, that can prevent us from reaching our goal. No offense...

    You can try attending retreats at Buddhist centres. In India there is a famous centre Tu****a in Dharamshala. It is quite good.
