Hi Cordoba,
I read Dr Badawi's paper with interest. It focuses on Muslim-Christian relations. Is it possible for Muslims to have similar relations with Jews?

Ahmadi, I am merely saying that to those who stand outside a religion, whether Islam or some other, determining what constitutes the 'true' or 'false' religion is tricky, as even those who hold to perverted views & practices hold their views to be true. Their views may not be true with reference...
Hi Ahmadi,
you are entirely fair in claiming that there can be no support for terrorism in true Islam. However, it is unfair to accuse those who claim a link as having a hidden agenda. The various bombers (9/11, 7/7 etc) have all sought to make a link between their acts and Islam. It may be...
Did anyone see the panorama programme last night? (BBC, 10.20pm London time) What did you think? This is a question to Muslims. The programme showed some 'moderate' UK Muslims making strong claims about the widespread presence of 'radical Islamist' ideas within UK Muslim structures and I was...
Hi Flysky, not sure if Pah was having a go at you or me. Doesn't matter anyway. I don't actually have any questions at this time. Thanks anyway. By the way, I'm a 'he' not a 'she'.

I am quite open-minded regarding the evolution-creation debate. I believe Scripture to be a trustworthy witness, but I am willing to accept that Gen 1-3 should not be read as a historico-scientific account in the Western tradition. However, with regard to taking on board some/all aspects of...
Dear Flysky, I have no desire to argue. I responded to your request. What is the point of asking for views if you only want those that agree with yours? I am not saying everything about Muslim expansion and relations to those of other faiths was negative (the example of those who hold the church...
Flysky, here is another side of that story:
The site seems to claim that Muslims have been exemplary in their tolerance of other faiths. Whilst I accept that there were examples in support of this, I think that history shows that there were also many examples that are contrary to this claim...
Cheers for your reply, flysky. Was expecting a put down, so credit to you!
I want to give you a balance suggestion, so give me a while and i will get back.
I thought it was pretty good, although a bit brief. I think the only thing I would take issue with is the 'Non-Muslim' section in the A-Z of Islam. The description of the history of tolerance of other religions is idealised.
Tell you about me? Well, I work part-time with refugees in West London. I love the cultural diversity of London. I'm 41 and a bloke, married with no kids (yet). Studying theology part-time too. Not sure what that will lead to. I'm Anglo-French, which are probably among the European nations that...
Hi All,
I've just joined. I'm a Christian. Just looking around. Interested in understanding Islam better... I live in London and after the recent events, I think there needs to be some bridge building. Interested in how we might do that with both respect and honesty... So I plan to visit the...
