Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

I really wasn't putting anyone in classes nor do I believe anyone should be put into a class because of their sexual orientations. The fact of the matter is though, the world does. I do not believe that we need acceptance from "the church" or fundementalists or whoever. However, when it...

And how does this have to do with my thread?

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

You can still feel love for a person who has wronged you. That's not what I was saying. True love is unconditional in my opinion.

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

I think the problem is that these values are Biblical not necessarily "christian"; however, it would seem as though some "self proclaimed christians" skipped over that part of the Bible.

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

I am a little confused as to how you can say that there are many types of love and none are unconditional. Please explain your reasoning for that statement.

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

I agree with you. This is why I have never been able to understand why genetalia or other extremeties are used to "define" love. Love is an emotion, it is not something conditional. For anyone to say that love is conditional is in my opinion extremly ignorant.

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

:D yes it is! I just kind of had a few points to make in the same post. Yes, I'm honestly not expecting much of an anwser. Thank you for your reply!

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

For most of us as children we are taught by our parents, teachers, pastors, and leaders that love is an unconditional emotion. If two people are in love with one another...why should their outward extremities prevent them from being "allowed" to love? We have for the most part (although there...

    Is the Bible promoting genocide!?

I totally agree with you. I know many people who use the Bible to their own personal advantage.

    Is the Bible promoting genocide!?

    1. Yes I 100% agree. I believe that is why homosexuality is a sin. Just my opinion :) 2. Yes I believe virgin means a woman of maritable age. I could be wrong 3. Again I agree...However, it is still RAPE. You cannot kidnap and force women to marry you.

    Crime and sin....

This would depend on one's interpretation of sin. I do not think birth control is a sin, but a lot christians do. I do not think that being a bisexual is a sin, but most christians do. Being gay and using birth control is not considered a crime. So no they are not necessarily the same.

    Is the Bible promoting genocide!?

This is one of the major problems I have with the Bible. As a women who has close friend who have been raped and molested, it pains me to think that people can worship such a heartless god. I had this arguement with a girl in my religion class. She basically said that god must be ok with rape...

Hard to Argue With Scientific Observations

I do not recall the Bible stating that the animals began to partake in homosexual acts :rainbow1: So unless the Bible states that homosexuality between animals is because of the corruption of creation, this is irrelivant.

    which is more unnatural?

Who is to say whether or not something is natural or not? If gay sex is not natural, then why is the prostate considered the male g-spot? Did "god" just create people who are attracted to the same sex as some kind of sick joke?

    Right and Wrong Answers

How do you know that person wouldn't consider the answer? I feel like that is assuming a lot about people that you do not know personally. And maybe someone would ask that question honestly. I know that I have asked questions similar to that because I am honestly interested.

    Right and Wrong Answers

I agree that christians are not obligated to answer; however, they should not insult the OP asking the questions. I am actually very curious about the Bible and I love hearing others opinions. It is rude to assume that a question that a non-believer asks is a "loaded question". Maybe some...

    Right and Wrong Answers

Basically I am trying to get out of people why there are some questions that non-believers cannot ask. You can ask questions with reference to the Bible here, but do not expect an answer.
