Yet another mass shooting...

You said godlessness is a factor. It's not.
You don't consider things such as poverty or poor education to be contributing factors?
No, not really, not in America. In general people aren't stealing bread to feed their families. I grew up in a well to do family with every opportunity, love support etc. At 22 I was a convicted drug felon and staying clean in a free 12 step program. In the 12 step programs we have to take responsibility and stop blaming our problems on the world.

BTW, today I have already received 2 scam calls from people trying to steal my identity and money. I get them all the time. I'm on the "do not call list", makes no difference. Criminal minds will do what they do until they are either forced or decide to stop victimizing others.

Yes, and we need to figure out why.
I'm not a psychologist nor do I live in the states, so take this with a grain of salt.

I think that fear is one of the main factors. The US citizenship is probably the most fearsome in the world (and probably for good reasons). Where other first world nations have social security and free healthcare, the US has a Damocles sword hanging over most peoples head. In most states there is little security against being fired. Add to that crazy people running around armed and you have a constant stress level. Let's say that one in a million per year cracks under the stress and fear; in a nation with 300 million inhabitants that is almost one per day. Some will simply have a nervous breakdown, many will end their own life and every now and then someone will "shot at the world".

The problem is the complete lack of mental health services in this country.
We not only have the worst health care in the 1st world, but the worst mental health care.
Ignoring the problem won't make it go away, and that's the current plan it seems.
Mental health services could be improved, but to say we have the worst in the world is simply untrue.

Having first world toys without first world amenities is pretty mixed up. We have turned Maslow's hierarchy of needs on its ear. Enter in social media, where the world seemingly cares about what you had for dinner, and our egos scream for validation and recognition. It's pretty selfish.

Why is the number of active shooter incidents increasing and what can we do about it?
IMHO, lack of family cohesion and education.

We hardly have any, but such incidents are rare.
Enter in social media, ..
Social media is one of the culprits. I think they have information on how to 3-D print guns, make bombs, even an atom bomb. Comes in handy for extremists.

The rest of the world doesn't have the degenerate, violent, drug addicted, godless culture that America has.

The dominant culture in American is Christian. The nation was founded in humanist concepts like democracy and guaranteed personal freedoms. The government was intended to be secular, but the intensity of the Christian influence has been so intense for so many decades that it finally pierced the wall humanist founders built to keep them out of government, but the enemies of Americanism prevailed.

Godless America is humanist America. This gun mess belongs to the faithful. What's more American than guns and a Bible? You won't see humanists sporting messages like these:

Isn't there something in the Bible about living by the sword and dying by the sword? And turning swords into ploughshares.?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Thats true but we live in a society of stupid people who blame the gun and not the gunman. The same administration that is desperately arming Ukrainians against Communist aggression wants to disarm Americans against criminal aggression.
Yep. Guns have been around since the country was founded. Not a single one got up all by itself and killed anyone.

It is if there is a pattern. Healthy communities don't have a pattern of people murdering multiple people at once.

I am for gun ownership, specifically responsible gun ownership. I own a firearm (as well as other projectile weapons). But it's ridiculous to allow an unregulated armed population if there is something contributing to a pattern of violence.
Murders can happen spontaneously in any society. People are the same everywhere.

Agreed! But murders on the same level? If a community suddenly sees a pattern of murders that greatly impacts the community doesn't it stand to reason the community has a right to do something about it?

Again, people are the same everywhere. Evil in one society expresses itself one way and differently in another. In the end the results are still evil.
