Quite a lot of destruction, not something to look forward to
is that because he brings sorrow? comes as a destroyer? like the angel of death.

why would jesus come a second time and force his kingdom on earth; when he didn't do it the first time?

No! but you can save your chosen children from annihilation, it was for this reason that we read in Judges 3; So then, the LORD left some nations in the land to test the Israelites who had not been through the wars in Canaan. 2He did this only in order to teach EACH GENERATION of Israelites about war, especially those who had never been in battle before.
Numbers 24: 17, "A king, like a bright star, will arise in that Nation. Like a comet he will come from Israel. He will strike the leaders of Moab and beat down all the people of Seth. He will conquer his enemies in Edom and make their land his property. While Israel continues victorious. The Nation of Israel will trample them down and wipe out the last survivors.
Do you think that the children, who watched their parents go like lambs to the slaughter, and kneel before the burial pits, while the enemy walked behind them blowing their brains out, will ever allow that to happen again?

I know the people (scoffers) of the 1870s said the same when Taze promised the second coming of Christ.
But when Christ came...

500 Hippolytus of Rome, Sextus Julius Africanus, Irenaeus These three Christian theologians predicted Jesus would return in the year 500. One prediction was based on the dimensions of Noah's ark.[1]:35

I believe that is true Tony. The Bible does not say when every eye will see Him, it might be hundreds of years.
But as Baha'is we are assured that eventually every eye shall see Him.

I do not see that any of these false messiahs have had much influence yet, because nobody pays much attention to them. In fact, it is the opposite of what you said because Christians are still clinging to the Holy Scriptures and waiting for Jesus to return, but they would not recognize Jesus if he landed right on their roof.

So all dead bodies that ever lived will rise from their graves and their flesh will be reconstituted and they will see Jesus? How will there be room on earth for that many people?
Do you even realize how ridiculous that sounds. Such is the power of beliefs.
The problem is, the return of Christ is always about what is going to happen, and people can believe anything is going to happen, there is no end to what people can believe.

Yes. Scripture is quite clear about it:
"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."-John 5:28, 29.
The idea that the earth is overpopulated is wrong. The earth produces more than enough food to feed everyone many times over. It is because of mismanagement of human governments that people go hungry and starve.
In the new world Jesus will be king. The entire earth will be transformed into a paradise. And all dead will be brought back to life, all dead that are in God's memory. How many that is only he knows. And he also knows it will be no problem for the earth to handle.

Jesus is not coming back to earth, and Jesus is not going to rule as a king, not unless the Bible is wrong; and if the Bible is wrong, so is everything else you quoted.
John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
