So really the increasing of lawlessness is causing the coldness in human society.

Another scripture gives us a clue as to who really is behind the spirit that is operating upon human society:

In which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.
Ephesians 2:2.

The "ruler" of this world is Satan the Devil. His predominate mental disposition is that of a liar and of murder:

You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a murderer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie.

Satan the Devil is a rebel and he used his spirit to cause other spirit angels to rebel against Jehovah God. And they are the world rulers in the heavenly places:

Because we have a struggle, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places.
-Ephesians 6:12.


This spirit of the authority of the air is the mental bent, the mental disposition of Satan and his wicked angels in the invisible spirit realm where they rule the earth from. Their spirit influences the spirit of the world that is alienated from God. This spirit, or mental inclination is rebellion, disobedience, slander, murder.

Doomsday?

Rather than being doom, it is simply foretelling the mental bent, the disposition of human society during the last days. No one can deny that that is exactly the attitude of humankind alienated from God. This is because of the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience. The spirit rebels who disobeyed God influence the spirit, or mental disposition of people who are ungodly. And that mental disposition is of rebellion, disobedience, murder, slander.

The fact we see this in human society is not a coincidence, there is a reason for it. And it is because as Jesus stated would happen during the last days, because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number would grow cold. Certainly we are both eyewitnesses of Bible prophecy in fulfillment. A person with eyes to see can discern the real cause of world events and understand why world conditions are as they are. And far be it from being a message of doom, it is very faith-strengthening to both see Bible prophecy unfold before our very eyes, and have the assurance that what is foretold will assuredly come to pass, namely, the end of wickedness, and the establishment of a government of peace.

And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
-Revelation 21:3-5.

The words were written. They will surely come to pass, because unlike humans, God keeps his promises, he does not lie. If he speaks it he will fulfill it. The words are faithful and true.

I did not inspire the scriptures which I quote. They are inspired of God. And my voice is nothing. Now God's is something, for not only does it reveal the truth, it is alive. It penetrates to the very marow of the bone, it is a mirror revealing to a person peering into it what they are, and can discern thoughts and intentions of the heart:

For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints from the marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.
-Hebrews 4:12.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, and he goes away and immediately forgets what sort of person he is. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and continues in it has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work; and he will be happy in what he does.
-James 1:23-25.

When being exposed to God's word one is peering into a mirror, to see who they truly are. The way they react to it reveals their thoughts and the true intentions of their heart.

What's the message again? The same tired and old RW gossip talking point that "why isn't mainstream media covering this?" Or the additional "you won't see this covered anywhere but Fox!"
You don't bother to even look to see if the story was covered, your sources are nutty. Big red flag.

That was not the point of quoting the prophecy about why things are the way they are. It was merely to point out why they are the way they are.

Now if it causes fear, why is that?

Now quite the opposite of the spirit of the world, God's spirit causes joy because of love, even in tribulation:

Always rejoice in the Lord. Again I will say, Rejoice!
-Philippians 4:4

Boast about his holy name. Let the hearts of those seeking Jehovah rejoice.
-Psalm 105:3

Find exquisite delight in Jehovah,
And he will grant you the desires of your heart.
-Psalm 37:4

Imagine the joy God has knowing that all human suffering is about to end! Imagine how is yearning and awaiting with great eagerness and happiness to resurrect all the dead in his memory. Imagine all the reasons we have to rejoice!

Do not let the spirit of the world affect you anymore! Serve God and find rejoicing! Jesus said that as we see these things happening, and future events that will unfold we should lift our heads erect knowing deliverance is near!

But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.
