Thought I'd start a thread that (I hope), doesn't devolve into a debate. Share your fur babies! I have 5 animals living with me,and they are my lifeline. This is my 2 year old Aussie Shepherd/German Pointer, Loki.

This big grey kitty is Pepper, and his Black and White friend is Duke (he is perpetually surprised).

This cutie is Brooke, she is solely my wife's cat, but she is a softy.

And this girl here is Lilo. She has claimed me as hers, and I'm ok with this.

Our two adorable kids ❤️
The big gentle bear is Sampoh and the small one is granny Skritt.
We've had Sampoh since he was a kit and he grew up with full comfort and the best food.
Skritt is a rescue, she's had a sad life but now she enjoys the royal life too for her retirement

We presently have two, a 14yr old golden and a 10yr old golden and collie mix, both rescues. I love cats but its out of the question with these two.

Adorbs, ferrets are so cute. My Aunt had 3 while I was growing up, it was so fun playing with them, and watching them burrow under a pile of blankets.

I bet they are sweeties, all of ours are rescues too. It's the only way to aquire a pet . We had the cats first, then got the dog, so hey learned (for the most part) to be respectable around them.

In our younger years we were involved in Golden rescue through a system of relays. Each volunteer would take a rescue on one leg of the trip, meet at a predetermined location and pass it on to the next. The last that we were involved in began in Florida and the final destination was Canada. The dog, Brady, old and going blind. I herd he is still alive.
edit to make correction
Brady was rescued in 2003 and died Aug 2020

Particularly loving Brooke, but I never met a cat I didn't love.

She is often called "Stop it", adopted as a one year old kitten 7 years ago from a rescue centre, she had had an awful life, starvation, kicking, left out in the cold. It's taken many years for her to feel comfortable with a family. Only in the last couple of years has she purred, i cried the first time i hard it. Even now we can only manage 5 or 10 minutes qualty time before she begins to feel uncomfortable about it?

Late last year we lost the new addition to our family to a speeding motorist. Known as "Cooking Fat" there is quite a story behind the spoonerism. Also rescued but at only 3 months old. She had the a personality of a cheeky imp and i miss her so much
