Made in America

Ματαιοδοξία ματαιοδοξιών! Όλα είναι ματαιοδοξία.
Countries sell weapons gulf states that fight in Yemen for oil and profit, not caring that it's the biggest humane disaster in the world.

Yes, it's good for the GDP. God bless America.

YES! It should only be said "Made in Russia, China, Iran and North Korea"! That will take care of the problem!

Yes, because bombing always makes things better and we need to always be a part of the solution.

Is it good for the GDP or good for the corporations looking to make a profit? Corporations that lobby our government for arms deals with foreign actors?
Last I checked, sales of guns/vehicles/equipment to foreign countries made up 0.006% of the GDP.

To me it's only good for the MIC, not the middle class. And look at all the mayhem it creates in the aftermath years later...

We call ourselves a "Christian country" and yet we sell more arms to other countries by far more than any other. I doubt that Jesus would be walking around today carrying an AR-15 with an extended clip so as to kill more people. Sorry to say but the most important deity today in American society is this god: $.

Like I said... it would be so much nicer if we would just give Russia, China, Iran and North Korea the full market of sell of arms. It would solve all our problems.

How about we, a Christian Nation, stop exporting them and put crippling sanctions on countries that don't also stop?

Hello. Yes I agree that, as in most sectors our economy, the bulk of the profits here accrue to the top. However the corporations that produce/sell these weapons abroad (and too an excessive extent to our government) employ a lot of people. This huge jobs program, 'wisely' distributed through many states, is what makes it so hard to reign in our bloated 'defense' budget.

You mean like we did with Cuba?

I remember it was during the cold war that Russia supplied armaments to Egypt to attack Israel... sanctions and all.

Is Cuba a weapons exporter?
Enlighten me.
Tom
Absolutely in conjunction with Russia. It was Cuba who helped the Sandinistas in Nicaragua and made it Communist for a season. (I ministered to the refugees that went to Honduras as the shared how pregnant women had their bellies slit open and how they lost loved ones in night trips to reach Honduras) It was Cuba that helped Chavez in Venezuela to rape the people's ability to live. It was Cuba who helped many a South American countries with subversive armed elements.

Would you like more details?

So it was actually Russians.

Not really that different from the way the USA has been treating Central American people, but it's not particularly relevant to the current situation.
That's what I am talking about.
What this Great Christian Nation could do to reduce global violence. Not leftover whataboutism from the Cold War.

No... it was Cubans exporting Russian made weapons in the hands of Cubans... and thus....

Let's just let Russia, China, Iran and North Korea have the corner of the market because that will solve everything.

How does that have any relevance to my post? I am talking about 2018, and how the USA could help reduce global violence.
