The end of the world Christians cling to life?

What is up with the rapture stories and end of the world movies Christians show their church members and the preachings of the church about the end time?

Well lets see. According to the bible or not the bible,I do not believe it teaches the rapture but for the sake of the argument well bring the bible into it.

So according to Christians Jesus is coming back, Christians are the only ones being saved after Christians go to heaven there will be folks left who come to Jesus.

The world has been taken over by crazy cult called the new world order who have marks all over them and the Christians are waiting for Jesus to come back and take them to heaven or waiting to die after which Jesus comes back to earth and there will be a new heaven and a new earth and the most beautiful time, Christians will live in euphoria and perfect peace forever and ever.

I have heard stories of Buddhists who are persecuted and sacrificed for their religion they happily smiled and went into peace and peacefully surrendered themselves.

If you know that your religion is te one and only way to get to heaven and you are going to heaven and Jesus is coming back to live in a perfect earth perfect world, you should be in perfect peace and the happiest people in the world.
Man if I were in that situation i would directly surrender myself to be killed to these crazy guys and celebrate and be thrilled out of my mind knowing Jesus is coming back soon.
Of course I would want to be killed as soon as possible.

What do the churches teach and these films teach. Christians are hiding from the law running away desperate to cling to life and live in a monster world where crazies are the only ones allowed to live. They scream run and they try and escape from the one world order and cling to life beg for their lives .

They scream in horror terrified to death freak out beg for their lives freak out hold onto life as hard as they can.

Its unbelievable to me. If Christian believed half of what they claim as truth we would not be seeing any of that my goodness. A sign that folks are being persecuted for their religion want to lay their life down for their religion and their God.

I don't get any of that none of it makes any sense. If the rapture story were true Christians should be welcoming the OWO with open arms.................looking forward to Jesus coming back. They should be at perfect peace. All this Christian talk about them being tortured int he end and truly they cling to life desperatly why hang onto this life that way if Jesus is real?

I prefer to think of it as, 'a new beginning"... Can't wait for someone to start taking out the trash, metaphorically.

You tell me, since that's the modus operandi of the entire faith. It's structured somewhat like what you would do to get a dog to comply, except that you never get the treats. In exchange for your constant self-loathing, guilt, shame, and obedience you receive something you are never sure you can collect on -- eternal life. The surest sign someone is trying to manipulate you is whether they are attempting to create fear. Even the sins are structured in a way that you couldn't possibly avoid doing one of them. Christianity is just one big psychological operation designed to farm sheep who will comply and continue to empty their wallets into the church coffers for fear of damnation.

From my perspective all of this mental meandering is worthless because if you have a soul and it's yours it's not God's anyway. You can't barter away something that is limitless and infinite to Jehovah or The Devil, because that would make it limited by them. If something like this becomes limited in such a way then it cannot be 'eternal' because it received a condition to its existence. The basic notions of Abrahamic religions refute themselves.

I believe that is a lot to think about.

I believe the Rapture is biblically sound.

I believe movies tend to hype things and aren't always biblically accurate.

I believe the Rapture is two fold. The dead are raised to new bodies and the living are changed into new bodies and taken up into the clouds. I happen to believe the destination in the clouds is the New Jerusalem.

I believe the Rapture to be a general call to all people and the only requirement is to wish to only be capable of doing good. As a Christian I am already a person wishing to only do good so I have already fulfilled the requirement.

I believe it is never a joy to die except for those in extreme pain. I don't believe Christians have an aversion to death itself but the flesh (as was the case with Jesus) doesn't like it. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

I believe another possible reason is that not all Christians have a good idea of what the after life is like.

I am not even sure where I would start in that jungle of misinformation.

I believe created spirits can be extinguished. It is the concept of Hindus that souls are eternal.

Well, if your soul isn't eternal then what's the damn point anyway? Anyway, this is at odds with the teachings of your Bible since it irrefutably restates in several places that the soul is eternal and immortal. For example, Matthew 25:46, which only mentions two conditions: eternal punishment or eternal life. No where does it say Jehovah has the power to snuff you out. Heck, he didn't even snuff The Devil out and I'm sure he could have found reasons.

But, with that being said, I think it's important to know that no where does it say God created the souls either only that you can't get into heaven without him. That, of course, presuming you want to be there in the first place being a slave your entire mortal life and eternally. Not that I believe that or am interested in the least.

So you're wondering why Christians in a cheesy YouTube apocalypse fiction are acting contrary to sense.

You are body, soul and spirit. Your body is created from the universal elements, and it is activated by the universal soul, which is the animating principle that pervades the entire universal body, activating everything within the universe, from the wave particles to the subatomic particles that make up the atoms which are the building blocks of the molecules from which the universal body is created. To inherit eternal life,you must love the Lord your God with your whole body, soul and spirit.
