The Earth rotates at ~1,040 mph (1,673 kph).

Earth flies around the Sun at a slow ~66,000 mph (107,000 kph), and completes the orbit in 1 year.

Our solar system travels around our spiral galaxy, the Milky Way, at a speed of ~515,000 mph (828,000 kph). We are on one of the spiral arms. It takes our solar system around 230,000,000 years to make a complete circle around our galaxy.

Our galaxy is trucking through space at an astonishing ~134,000,000 mph (215,652,096 kph) and has been doing so for billions of years!

For those keeping score, on Earth we rotate within a rotation, within a rotation, within a rotation! :cool:
