This Fasting month is spiritual training and gives the opportunity to believers so that they improve in Taqwa (righteousness), establish virtues, get nearness of Allah the Exalted, get forgiveness of previous sins.
According to the saying of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him)
Who ever fasted during the month of Ramadan in the state of Iman (belief) and tried to retrospect and fight his/her soul against sins, all of his/her previous sins will be forgiven.
Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said Taqwa is not a small thing, through it one fights with all those Satans which overpower human’s internal faculties. If there is little show off in one’s deeds, God rejects these. If there is no Taqwa, one’s revelation are not reliable, they can have Satanic share. Establish the model of Prophets who came to teach path of Taqwa. Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) is role model for us. If one wants to please God and wants to see miracles then one should make his life extraordinarily virtuous. To observe Taqwa is the root of everything. Taqwa means to avoid smallest of sins. If there is possibility of sin in some matter, avoid it. If one’s tongue, hand and feet or other body part is chaste, understand that his heart is pure. If one speaks ill, despite keeping fast one does not avoid mutual discord and calls bad names and does evil then consider his heart is impure too. It is requirement for Taqwa that one should be humble. Avoid unnecessary anger. I do not want people of my Jama'at may consider each other little or great, or show arrogance or belittle others. God knows who is little or great. People with Taqwa are those who walk with humbleness, who do not speak with arrogance. The one who observes Taqwa will reach high state. True wisdom cannot be achieved without returning to Allah the Exalted. To get success, use wisdom, ponder, read translation and commentary of Holy Quran. Pondering at Holy Quran gives progress in Taqwa. In this month of Ramadhan, make effort to cleanse self, purify your faculties. If you want to serve Deen, first observe Taqwa. Blessing of Allah the Exalted is always with those who observe Taqwa. The awe of Taqwa affects others. We should check whether we have discarded evils. Taqwa demands we should avoid lies. If a person’s words and deeds do not match, he is worthy of getting divine displeasure. My Jama'at should understand that they have come to me so that they shall be exalted into a fruitful tree. Every one of you should analyze his/her inner and outer self. If God forbid our Jama'at is also hypocrite then we shall not achieve a good ending. When Allah sees that a Jama'at that doesn't have anything in their hearts but proclaims a lot through their words, Allah does not care as He is all sufficient.
Just like a mole on face results in concern that it might grow very large to darken the entire face. Likewise, sinful acts also produce dark mole on the hearts. If the insignificant sins are not amended they can accumulate and lead to big sins and ultimately darken the entire heart (in figurative meaning).
May Allah help us achieve righteousness during the blessed month of Ramadan and help us be the members of Jama'at who try their best to refrain from bad deeds and who perform actions in order to gain the pleasure and love of Allah. May we come out of this blessed month in a manner that we may never again indulge in sins committed in the past. May Allah help us achieve our goals. (Ameen).
