He's Gay!?! Ex-wife Says Omar Mateen was Gay

The ex-wife of the terrorist who attacked the gay nightclub says the gumman was gay himself. She also said, “the FBI asked her not to tell this to the American media.” - (see article link, above) ...

The article also states a drag queen and his partner who frequented the same gay club and knew the gunman says the claim that he flipped out after seeing two men kiss is "bullcrap" because he's "been around us" and was "partying" with those at the club for three years, but he became violent over his Muslim religion, and "threatened them with a knife, after someone made a joke about religion."

It seems to me this guy was acting on his Islamic religion and this act of Islamic terrorism had nothing to do with gays "kissing" per say but simply religious fanaticism and Islamic extremist dogma and recruitment. The guy could very well be gay himself, an Islamic extremist gay killing gays out of a sense of guilt, who knows - was he also HIV positive and thus turned his murderous antics on gays blaming them?

And why in the hell was the FBI told to try and cover up his gay tendencies if indeed this claim is true? Is the FBI getting orders from the Obamanists?

This is looking obvious to me - Islamic extremism, religious fanaticism - not just "homophobia". He seems at minimum bi-sexual perhaps. It is a fact, many recruited to fight with ISIS are actually homosexuals (many with HIV), also child molesters and drug addicts and criminals, who all just want to die for their "guilts" and kill others while at it. We do not know all the facts yet, but this may have merit and I don't like the idea that the FBI is perhaps trying to cover up things due to political pressure and Obama agendas.

Actually, if he was gay it makes me truly believe this had even less to do with the Islamic State and terrorism (which I really didn't believe it had much to do with it in the first place). The world is unfortunately home to many gay people who, by influence of their family and/or religion, do not want to be what they are. It screws with your head, being told time and again you are wrong, you are sick, you live in sin, you will go to hell. Many who live like that have breakdowns, hurt themselves, kill themselves, is it such a far stretch to believe they may snap on others? Especially those who represent what they are trying to deal with about themselves? Yes, this may well have been quite religion related, but it's not as if Islam is the only religion that condemns gays. Perhaps the guy claimed to be a member of IS because he was a victim of their propaganda. maybe he wanted to go out remembered as something other than gay. And whether or not the IS had anything to do with the attack at all (which I don't believe they actually did) of course they would claim responsibility for such an atrocity if given any credit at all. Even if it was false credit. It's who they are.

I've heard these rumours too; that Omar was in the closet and hated himself. I've seen people who say this atrocity had nothing to do with religion at all - but then they have a hard time explaining where his self-hatred arose from and how it was cultivated. Afghani Muslim society is hardly a hotbed of tolerance for minorities. Hell, it's one of the most dangerous societies to be a woman in.

Lol, so he was a gay and dating with gays, but it happened that he's a Muslim atheist,
so remove muslim and discuss it as a murderer.

I think the incident will be insignificant, gays with gays, which is miles away from Islam.
Bad luck, discussion will be dead soon and it'll be treated as a usual criminal civil incident.

Muslim atheist? Exactly how does that work? Religion, Islam, still comes heavily into play here, just as it would if the guy were Christian. Where would his self-hatred and hatred for gays come from without his religion condemning that? You tell a person over and over that they are wrong, they will burn in hell, they are sick, twisted, disgusting and so on, there is going to be an effect. Go on, tell me that isn't an issue in Islam. It is an issue in Christianity. You want to say that Islam has no issues with homosexuality? This issue is not "miles away from Islam", it's on it's doorstep, in its home, it's the clothes that it wears. You don't get much closer.

We don't know the facts yet, so let's shamelessly exploit the tragedy as yet another facet of The Giant Obamaist Conspiracy.

Bravo!

Think of his response as a variation of the No true Scotsman fallacy.

Heaven forbid we ask if the ex-wife is telling the truth. Personally, I cannot fathom why the FBI would allegedly tell her to not mention this on American media unless it was directly linked to their investigation. That said, I can't help but wonder how many bars are now looking at some of their Middle Eastern patrons....

Oh goodie. The denial is in full force now. I forgot homophobia stopped existing the minute DOMA was ruled unconstitutional. It doesn't exist, religious sexual purity codes have no bearing, we still don't agree with your lifestyle, we will say a prayer but it sucks to be you. Move along, folks.

He doesn't follow Islam, so in short Islam has nothing to do with it.
IOW the murderer isn't religious to blame religion for it.

If he was raised in Islam and had the anti-gay sentiment drilled into his head, that could very well linger even if he no longer follows the religion.

Islam and Christianity are primarily responsible for the demonization of gay people. Outside of these religious beliefs, no one has a problem with gay people. It's these ancient craptastic religions that keep passing the hatred down from one generation to another.

Keep in mind we are talking about Islamic EXTREMISM. These same extremists want to kill the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia who are charged with protecting the 3 Holy Mosques. If these same extremists took control in the Kingdom, my prediction would by Mecca would be looted and destroyed by these people.

The ex-wife did not report this on the Post, she was saying this live on Brazilian television station SBT Brazil. The New York Post was just a aggregator, not the source.

Aa far as not trusting the media - it is hardly trusted anymore, thus the rise of the NY Post... the left-wing media is collapsing and the latest polls say only 21% of Americans have any confidence in such media and newspapers today, an all time low. No one believes the lame stream phony liberal news anymore, thus the rise of FOX and talk radio et all.

We just had another Islamic terrorist attack in France while Americans slept last night. This terrorist killed two cops using a knife and data streamed the antics while he tortured the mom in front of a little child, an Islamic terrorist who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group three weeks ago and had a hit list VIPs, police and rappers he wanted to torture and kill.

So add rappers to the list who will be killed next, watch.

The previous Islamic terrorist attack in Boston involved Muslim terrorists who bore the moniker the "Boston Bombers". That's because they use bombs, not guns. It is only a matter of time now before they set off a gas, chemical weapon, dirty bomb or even nuclear device (thank you Obama and your Iranian "deal") in Disneyland. They have MANY targets.

Omar Mateen called 911 while in the bathroom and pledged his allegiance to caliph Baghdadi and ISIS. His motive was at least partially linked to them.

But he was a gay himself and living his own way of life in a free way, then why he killed some gays, of course not
because of religion, so what was the reason?

This self-hating gay man turned to fundamentalist islam which inspired him to Jihad. Not a "criminal civil incident" but an act of war perpetrated by a fool with internal conflicts amplified and fueled by islamic fundamentalism and inspired by islamic terrorist groups at war with Western civilization.

Self loathing. Sometimes when people are told over and over again...perhaps by an abusive parent or by the religious dogma in which they are raised...that they are abnormal, bad, evil or whatever, they grow up thinking that they are bad. They end up hating themselves for who they are. It's terribly sad.

of course not
because of religion, so what was the reason?

I argue that it IS because of religion. Religion...specifically Islam and Christianity...teach us that homosexuality is bad, evil, disgusting. It forces anyone who follows the religion to live in a world where everyone they love, their parents, their religious leaders, etc., to live in a community that holds gay people in contempt. If you are a gay person living in that environment, it's going to have a negative effect on you one way or the other.

You can only have people telling you "you're disgusting, you're abnormal, you're an abomination" for so long before you either believe it yourself and start hating yourself, or you rebel against and quit the religion.

In this guy's case it sounds like he was gay, but hated himself because he lived in a religion that told him he was a bad person, a sinner. He lashed out at gay people because his religion programed him to believe gay people are bad...even though he himself was a gay person.

It's perhaps the very worst thing about religion today.

So because his religion brainwashed him into self-hatred and violent homophobic impulses, we can totally ignore the role his religion played in all of this by simply noting that he had gay sex and drank some alcohol. By this standard, the 9/11 hijackers were acolytes of Richard Dawkins!

He may hate himself but not the others, he may kill the religious people than killing the ones suffering similar to him.

But he lived in the US and born in the US, he met gays and enjoyed his time as a gay, why he should suddenly rebel.against his friends?

You can only have people telling you "you're disgusting, you're abnormal, you're an abomination" for so long before you either believe it yourself and start hating yourself, or you rebel against and quit the religion.

Does that happen in the US? i think gays are free even to marry, right

This is a guess and assumption.

Not a radical Muslim then a mentally ill gay because of Islam, yes we should insert Islam somewhere.;)
