so Job was a litral man , just like Daniel and Noah , he was mentioned along with those other men because he was a real man, i think some think he wasnt real , but the bible tells us he was.
Look! We pronounce happy those who have endured. YOU have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome Jehovah gave, that Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful. James 5;11

Okay, well I never said that he wasn't a real historical figure. I'll yield the argument on that and just say he was indeed a historical person, however it is not very plausible that the Book of Job is an actually historical account of his life. It is a novel based on a historical person. We have things like this all the time (the newist one being the Da Vinci Code).

And Gods name is not Jehovah, it is YHWH (or Yahweh if you will). That is the proper name of God. Other titles include El, Elohiem, variations of Yahweh (Such as Yahweh Shalom etc), Adoni etc. Jehovah is a translation of Yahweh. I just wanted to make that clear.

LOL that would be for another thread i think, yes i know about all these things. but i like to use the english Jehovah Psalm 83;18

That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,

You alone are the Most High over all the earth. psalm 83;18
The Definition of Jehovah is the personal name of the only true God. His own self-designation. Jehovah is the Creator and, rightfully, the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. "Jehovah" is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, יהוה, which means "He Causes to Become." These four Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH. but that would be for another thread:) so what was this thread about ? oh yes doctors , well as the bible tells us that there would be pestilence in one place after another in these last days , we might be glad of one at some time .
A prophecy in the book of Revelation, which parallels Jesus’ words in the Gospels, depicts several horsemen accompanying Jesus Christ when he assumes power in heaven. The fourth horseman rides "a pale horse," and he sows "deadly plague" in his wake. (Revelation 6:2, 4, 5, 8) A look at the death toll from some of the major infectious diseases since 1914 confirms that this figurative horseman has indeed been riding. The worldwide suffering from "deadly plague" provides one further proof that the coming of God’s Kingdom is near.—Mark 13:29. but in the meantime , for me if i am ill i will see a doc

Well, I would say that people rely on God through doctors. If they didn't, then what would be the point of praying before an operation?

And what about capital punishment? Should man decide how and when the demise of a certain individual takes place? Or is that another thread?

my question is, why do they need to pray before operations if God's will is going to determine a person's fate anyway? Why are people selfish and try to force life sometimes? (as in 30 year comas, terminal illness, and premature birth) If we really followed God's will, shouldn't we let nature take it's course on all these accounts?

Because they're taking comfort in their god silly ;). It might seem hopeless and pointless to some, but comfort and hope are all that people really have in this life. I for one will not deny them that. How they get it is their business.

Well, if God determines our fate, isn't that the same idea as predestination?

As far as forcing life, I think people view letting someone die and killing them as an equivalent. It's the same thing as pulling a child back onto the sidewalk when a passing car was about to hit him/her. Should we just let them walk into the street and say, "Well, I could've saved him/her, but I God drew their number."
