Hello, I'm a Sikh and I joined this forum to learn more of other religions and explain my own religion if someone has questions.

Hey, Welcome! I learned about the Langar practice a while ago and it really put the Sikh Dharma on my radar.

welcome ,

.....you can put anything you like , some people like to remain anonomous , but it is realy nice for us sometimes to know where a person comes from and a little of their background , ....

for instance to me it is interesting to know if were you born into the Sikh tradition or you have taken it up out of choice ?

it is also interesting to understand where a person lives this can help another understand the tradition a person is coming from , .... but you can put as much or as little as you like ,
you can also use this intro page to tell us a little about your self and of course ask us any questions

hope you enjoy the forum

Sat Sri Akal Ji, and welcome to RF.

The more Sikhs here the merrier. :) I have been very interested in Sikhi for a long time, but recently declared myself non-Sikh. I still feel the pull, regularly, but I cannot call myself a Sikh now with any degree of honesty. I drink, I smoke, I argue, and at best I am a very weak panentheist, and probably more honestly a down right atheist.

So I apologise in advance if I become picky about some points. I"m sure you'll see those threads around... but just remember, I do it out of passion for Sikhi and what I have learned about it. I harbor no ill will towards Sikhi itself. :)

Were you born into Sikhi, or did you convert?

Anything. A statement about your worldview, a list of your hobbies and interests, any causes you feel passionate about, anything that will help us get to know you better. Unfortunately, when the only thing someone knows about a person is his religion, they'll see him from a very one-dimensional perspective.

Hello, and welcome!

As for your 'About me', anything you like really, but it's nice to know what country you're from, what country you live in now, and perhaps your first language and whether you're a born Sikh or a convert :)
