How is that "masturbation?" Masturbation connotes something that is rather unproductive, unlike prayer of this sort.

why praying is a waste of time

Masturbation is all about pleasure, prayer is about speaking to God. I just don't see the similarity. But that's just me. 
I see prayer as communion with God. That results in a profound state of Unity, and what can be termed religious ecstasy. And if someone imagines the ecstasy of God as "getting off", than they are clueless. It seems to me that those who see prayer as masturbation were masturbating when they prayed themselves. They never abandoned themselves to God, and were just jerking off and are ****** off it didn't satisfy and wish to put down others for their own lack of finding themselves in prayer.Masturbation is all about pleasure, prayer is about speaking to God. I just don't see the similarity. But that's just me.

To me and others their religion isn't just a religion, but an actual relationship with their god or gods. So how are are you suppose to have a relationship with someone if you don't talk to them?

Something like that. It just really means I try to take a neutral stance when it comes to things.
Many Christians I've conversed with seem to be followers of Paul. Whenever I ask them to justify their theology they usually refer to a passage written by Paul.
There were some 30-34 commandments from Jesus.
Jesus gave specific instructions about prayer, the point being that many Christians I've interacted with ignore those instructions.

I do not doubt that many people who profess to be Christians ignore Jesus' instructions. But those "Christians" are not following Christ.

It depends on your beliefes. To me saying prayers = me giving myself the type of comfort and peace that other people should give me
masturbation = me giving myself the pleasure that usually should be given to me by another person

Why don't you search for an answer to your question instead of forming your own conclusions?
For example, go to a mosque and ask the Imam if he is aware of what you said.

I have searched, very rigorously. I also considered Islam at one point and it was not worthy of my time. I was like a Muslim for a week.

I found emotional comfort. The same way children find emotional comfort in imaginary friends.
I could not take Islam seriously and could not reconcile Islamic violence so I stopped paying attention to it. I just moved on to other religions and dropped them along with theism.
Again, I was never a real Muslim by any means

Well okay let me just tell you that the emotional comfort you found was not the same as children find emotional comfort in imaginary friends.
I would repeat my suggestion again, one day try to go to the mosque and ask questions including the violence part. There is no violence in Islam I can assure you that.
I say just be sure that you are understanding Islam correctly and understanding things in its context.

so like i said pray is a waste of time but there's nothing wrong with alittle positivity, so if a praying works for you , its a good thing, wether its true or false ,,,,,,,,,,hmmm wether its true or false ,,sounds like a waste of time to me,,,my friends an indian dude and he owns a shop and he prays at the cash register every morning for a good day and money in the till,,,wether he prays or not that register will still fill with money,,,waste of time!!!!
