Acts vs. the Epistles: Inconsistencies?

Acts places Paul's second trip to Jerusalem in 41CE, the time of Herod's death, Paul himself stated that he visited Jerusalem twice, fourteen years apart. That puts Paul's first trip to Jerusalem in 27CE wherein he met with the "brother of the Lord."

So, Paul met the "brother of the Lord" in 27CE, and Josephus' account places John the Baptist's death in the year 36CE, how's that for inconsistencies?

I don't think James ''The alleged brother of Jesus(pbuh)'' could have be an disbeliever i think the Council of Jerusalem was more ''Right'' on the true teachings of Jesus(pbuh) then Paul due some references about certain teachings in the gospels.

The gospels portrayed Jesus' brothers as non believers. Luke and Acts does not name Jesus' brothers. Centuries after the gospels were written it became church doctrine that Jesus' brother James was a leader of a Christian community and many to this day accept it as gospel truth.

John 7:4-6

No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.” For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
Therefore Jesus told them, “My time is not yet here; for you any time will do.

Mark 3:21

Jesus Accused by His Family and by Teachers of the Law

Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”

The following comments on Jesus' brothers and family are from R.G.Price:

There are only two Gospels that name the supposed brothers of Jesus, the Gospel of Mark and the Gospel of Matthew, which simply copies from Mark. The Gospel of Mark only mentions literal brothers of Jesus one time, and then they disappear from the narrative.
Mark 6:
1 Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed."Where did this man get these things?" they asked. "What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! 3 Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him.
4 Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor." 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 And he was amazed at their lack of faith.
This is where the author of Mark introduces Jesus' family, and they are never mentioned again in the Gospel after that, not even his mother Mary. Indeed Jesus totally rejects his family in the Gospel of Mark.

It is important to note that the author of the Gospel of Luke never names any siblings of Jesus. He mentions brothers of Jesus one time but the names of the brothers are omitted.
Luke 8:
19 Now Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you."21 He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."
In the Gospel of Luke the rejection of Jesus' family is absolute, the author doesn't even bother to name his siblings. The point is made clear that his mother and brothers do not hear or practice God's word. Jesus Myth Part II - Follow-up, Commentary, and Expansion

Steeltoes,
Thanks for sending those quotes.
It looks like Jesus' brothers did not at first believe in him in the early verses of the gospels you quoted. Do you have quotes to the same effect from later verses of those gospels?
