    I also think Jesus was fictional (or mythical) and agree that he may have been based on an historical character such as the Teacher of Righteousness or Judas the Galilean, but some would say this puts me in the historicist camp.

    Good historical Jesus thread. I'm a mythicist myself, while admitting this mythological Jesus character may be based in either the teacher of righteousness or Panthera.

    Just to mention too I'm a non-observant Jew :)
