Mother Jones admits Romney Tape Edited

It appears that the liberal left is at it again. David Corn of Mother Jones admits that the Romney tape about the 47% and that the Mid East Problem was "unsolvable" was incomplete and edited by Mother Jones.

ROMNEY 47% VIDEO:: Selective Edit? Mother Jones Admits Romney Tape Missing ‘One to Two Minutes’

Romney Denounces

Wrong again......Why not go to the source...

Romney's Video-Debunking Claim Is
"Romney did not deny he said what he said. As the cliché goes, he doubled down, saying his remarks were inelegant but a reflection of his views about the rapid growth of entitlement programs in the United States. (Actually, this was a bait-and-switch operation. Romney was not talking policy when he disdainfully described half of the citizenry as parasites and victims."

Yes, I agree that he at least has it right about this country becoming a country of "give-me give-me give-me".
In addition Mother Jones left out the last part of the comments about the Mid East. Mother Jones made it look like Romney said this issue was "unsolvable" whereas he went on an explained what should be done.

Too bad you don't read both links, you might find out that things are not always what you want them to be

Well where can i see the rest? Since the video that is shown clearly states that there is no solution when he mentions Palestine ''Again''.

Common he first called the Jewish culture superior to that of Palestine.

Mother Jones published the entire tape, and also transcripts of the entire tape. Next!

His blanket statement of the 47% was misleading because he failed to break it down. Everyone is paying taxes on some level. Here's the break down;
Who doesn’t pay taxes, in eight charts

Of the 46.4% of supposed non tax payers here's what it looks like. Unfortunately Romney's comments and bad math skills has him dissing his base because ALL of them are part of the "47%".

My focus is primarily on his 47% comment. As we've seen last week Romney is severely inept when it comes to foreign policy so I'm not expecting him to be able to understand or handle the situations in the middle east. He jumped at the chance to play with the big boys, as he said he would do in that video, but failed. He was wrong as to what was said and by whom and when it was said. The sad reality is he had absolutely no business speaking to or for Americans on a extremely delicate situation where all the facts weren't known and still coming in. So regardless of what he said in the video on foreign relations he's proven he is not ready for prime time.

A vote for Romney is a vote for SkyNet.

This is future Obama and I approve this message.

You have my vote Mr. future Obama, if anything just to pop veins in esmith's forehead!

(Just kidding esmith, I don't have negative feelings towards you even if we politically disagree )

It amazes me that anyone would vote for Romney. Other than Mormons and the very rich that is. The guy is a complete idiot that can't keep his opinions straight from one sentence to the next. Im just glad the guy keeps shooting himself in the foot. I can't imagine the damage he would do if elected.

You obviously think that all Mormons share Romney's political views. The ones who do will vote for him. The ones who don't (like me), won't.

Exactly. I can't imagine why Mormons would vote for him. Those I've met have been conscientious, intelligent and well educated.

I think only Fox viewers and people who know absolutely nothing about Romney will be voting for Romney, personally.

Romney has a significant lead over Obama among White males. I think that's his real base, and especially so if you add "low information" to "White males".

I just heard about a study on the radio that found about thirty percent of white males are incapable of assessing risk. IOW, they believe nothing is risky. The study was about technology in particular (nuclear, fracking, drilling for oil, etc), but it seems it may also apply to electing a complete flaming moron to be in charge of the world's largest nuclear arsenal.

Edit: I know you're a curious chap. Enjoy!

That would seem to explain a lot. Does that ratio apply across racial and gender lines?

I linked a blog post that discusses the study, but I edited too slow!
The conservative white male effect « FCIWYPSC

This is actually discussing two studies. I'm sure the first is the one they were discussing on the CBC. That one is behind a pay wall, sadly.

The ratio applies to white men with authoritarian leanings, I think. It doesn't cross race or gender lines. It's just conservative white men, and the difference between them and every other demographic is extreme. They're four times more likely than the rest of us to believe the effects of global warming will never occur, for example (7% vs. 28%).

Amazing.

Really?? I am surprised. Its not because I think that all religions would vote for someone of their faith over another candidate. It just seems that groups like Mormons or Scientologist for example would jump at the opportunity to have someone of their beliefs as president. It would give their beliefs more validation as something accepted by the mainstream population. I could be wrong I guess.
