DisneyMan/Rorschach is officially DONE with Prop 8 discussion and debate. Everyone has their veiws and will never convince the other. Debating only furthers the divide.

So - I'm done. And this place is here for others to join me - for others to announce their departure from the circle of Prop 8 discussion and debate. Let that place burn!

I've been there for awhile now. I've had little to say on the topic recently because I'm sick and tired of being vilified by both sides. I'm a good person. I live the way my conscience tells me to and I should not have to defend myself against attacks by anybody on this forum -- either LDS, non-LDS, gay, straight, Democrat or Republican. That said, I'm done with this nonsense.

I never joined in the discussion in the first place, so I am done with it. It is one of those match-gasoline discussion that I try to avoid if I can.

Im sorry if I said anything to hurt your feelings..I was in the conversation..And I didnt exactly say anything to defend the LDS...(on the commercial thread)..In retrospect..I should have been more sensitive and respectful... :sorry1:

Well, when we begin to be attacked by both sides, what else do you expect us to do? It is not a smart move to alienate those who support you.

This thread, as the OP states, is for those who are done talking about it here. You don't have to like it - just post somewhere else if you want to continue the debate on the RF (there's plenty of places). It's time to establish an oasis in this mess.

Anyone who attempts to continue the debate here will be reported. This is an announcement thread. Not a debate thread.

For what it's worth, DM, I realize that you have been through a lot of pressure, not all of it fair. And it is very obvious that you took pains to go at it as gracefully as possible.

I will avoid insisting on the matter that the LDS area, partially out of respect for your disconfort. Can't make any promises about letting the subject matter be, though.

And no..its not "nice" all the time..but it can be..at least we can work towards it..
