Bush most unpopular president of all time?

Scuba Pete

Le plongeur avec attitude...
We can agree to disagree on him being "better than most" but surely you agree that he was not the best president we've ever had.
That was during my Republican phase. One of my good friends called him RayGunz because of his Star Wars initiative. He seemed to pull us together in a way that very few presidents could.

My FAVORITE would be JFK. He had true vision and a servant attitude. Our Space program should worship that man! Also, his famous quote: "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country!"

lulz.

Bush needs to be shaved ASAP, he's been giving us all rugburn in sensitive spots for too long.

shave the Bush! shave the Bush!

In case you did not pick up on it, yes. I WAS comparing Bush to pubic hair.

Yes, I have to concede that. :) He did not pull all of us together - I thought he was the epitome of evil at the time - but I have to concede that he had something to which the vast majority of Americans responded positively. (Little did I know that Bush Jr. would make Reagan seem like a fount of reason and good will by comparison.)

You forgot the NEA. :) Yeah, the Kennedy clan in general is impressive because of their servant attitude. ("Of those to whom much has been given, much is expected.") Bobby would have made a great president too. And I continue to be inspired by both Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

But I liked Monroe or Madison the most.
Aw dude. :hearts:

I *love* James Madison. I don't think he was our best president, but I do think that he was one of the noblest men to ever serve as president, perhaps the noblest.

Please don't say Reagan or I'll barf.
I didn't have any real dislikes for Reagan until I learned that he gave support to the Central American death squads that were beating and murdering peasants into oppression. My opinion of him changed real quick after that.

Yeah, me too. I didn't like him either until I heard about him doing that stuff. :p

Done here.
I don't know, dear Lilithu... I voted for the man twice! He was better than most but still had that slimy side! :D
And when you turned him over, there was the stupid side.

Reagan's popularity is what gave us Bush. People like Dick Cheney and Bill Kristol figured out that if you can find yourself an affable halfwit to place on the throne, somebody who likes being president, but doesn't know or want to know what's going on, you can do what you like behind the scenes.

I voted for Ronnie Ray-Gun myself, though. I'm so sorry.
