About myself

I am a minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church which I realize sounds kind of scary. It is simply a biblically conservative denomination. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. I am very interested in listening to and reading from others about what they think and believe. We are living in exciting times in the Christian Church. Great changes have already occurred and continue. It must seem very confusing for a young person. So, to younger persons I say this: the Christian faith is very simply. It is believing in and following Christ in his Word, doing whatever he commands. Keep an open mind about the Word. Read it and study it over and over. I have been a committed Christian for 37 years. I have been a pastor for 30. You will never stop learning, changing and growing in your understanding of Scripture, its meaning and its application. While the Christian faith is simple, following Christ consistently is a struggle -- that is the struggle of faith. If your faith is sincere, you will persevere.

Welcome! Look forward to seeing your posts. My family church is Presbyterian, though I don't think it's orthodox.
