    Is There Really A God?

No one said human beings appeared at random... at least, I don't think. I haven't read much of this thread, so forgive me, but human beings are the result, scientific result of evolution. Everything, in fact, living is the result of evolution.

    Is There Really A God?

Okay... I had to question this one... 1. There's some sense to that. I get what you're saying and really, don't have a rebuttle. However, just because something cannot be explained, doesn't necessarily mean that God created it. That's just throwing out scientific research, not fact, but...

    Religious belief and Dixie Chicks

:oMy apologies! I was led to believe that a 'debate' forum was for debating. I'm so terribly sorry that my knowledge of reading and defining words caused you to take the time to point out that, in your opinion, I have no sense of humor. :sad4: Tell me. How did you come to such a masterful...

    Religious belief and Dixie Chicks

Can someone please explain to me what listening to some lame band has to do with being devoutly religious? Can someone listen to (insert band name or singer here) and be devoutly religious? Am I missing something?

How Can I tell My Father I'm Gay?

lol Yeah, try that. Simply put, if you want to tell him, tell him. He'll accept it when he accepts it. Don't let something like money stand in your way. That's the problem with everything these days: money being the reason for making decisions. It's horrid and reprehensible, and quite...

Are Satanists worshipping the lesser of two evils?

So, exactly how many God's are they? Doesn't seem all omnipotent to me...

why would god create the earth?

Well, we are talking about religion. Pretty much the same thing. Forgive me for using humor to express what I'm trying to say. Well, my ears are open... God has yet to engage me. By your statement you're saying we have to have our ears open to have God engage us. Well... give me another...

    Another shining example...

Good. However, my faith in God is right up there with medicine and science. Medicine and science, however, have a more successful outcome than faith, though. Pray to God or go to the doctor if you're sick... then see which one actually helps.

why would god create the earth?

So God materializes in your living room and discusses things with him? Strange. What's he look like? Does he wear a robe like in the cartoons? Or does he look like Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski (that's just what I thought he looked like once)? My ears are open to God. Always have been...

Is God evil because He causes death?

I don't think God is evil, I just think he doesn't care. That's saying that if there is one, he's forgotton about us. Occassionally he looks in, but mostly he just glares and turns his attention elsewhere. He still causes people to die, today. I believe everyone should live a long, healthy...

why would god create the earth?

That's the thing about any religion: you can never ask why and get a logical response. You can argue until the cows come home and then argue with the cows, but when the question, 'Why?' arises, it comes back to God has his reason and those reasons we were never meant to understand.

    The Propensity Of Believing

God doesn't care... that's the reason for everything. If something good happens, people praise God, yet when something terrible happens, we didn't have faith or God has reasons. It's all very catch-22.

    Thank you

That's great! Good for you... However,in response to Hema, no one deserves pain and sickness. I don't understand how people get what's deserved.
