  • Satellites are very bright, like I said the ISS is the brightest thing in the sky. And remember brightness does not mean it is large.
Problem with satellites hard to use a telescope, or one like mine anyway, to follow them. The moon is bad enough with the speed it moves that anything above the spotter needs moved every few seconds to keep up.
In fact from watching that video a satellite is most likely thing I think. It's moving fast and regular.
Though it could also be a satellite like the International Space Station, the only thing in the sky brighter than that is the moon and sun
Looks like its been spotted in lots of places, consensus seems to be it's Jupiter. Wish I could have got my telescope on it.
No didn't see anything at 2am I was slightly inebriated. What was it do you know?

No, I'm not from Scotland! ^_^

I'm in Dunedin, NZ - near the bottom of the South Island. (Dunedin, interestingly enough, comes from Dun Eidan (sp?) - Celtic (I think) for Southern Edinborough - named by a bunch of homesick scotsmen :p)
what i believe hinges itself on knowledge, what can be known, and what cannot; its a rather important aspect to me;) if you would like me to explain further, id be happy to PM you
so long as we remember that they are beliefs, and no actual knowledge is held;)

    :drunk:
