Cheers...I was wishing to start a thread about the remnants of the vedic sytem remaining in todays society, I know that different religions sometimes claim to be the oldest, but having looked into it I see certain words that could be remnants of sanskrit, and certain practices that could relate to the original system , for instance last night I was watching a program where Australian aborigines smoked there babies, this meant holding them over smoke to benefit them, this smoking is also practiced in the vedic system to purify the aura and also by some native americans. So I was hoping for some advice as to where to put the thread on asking for peoples knowledge of practices that could possibly be traced back to the Vedas in other cultures, if possible, cheers.
