Pets in heaven

Religious radio was just talking about animals not going to heaven. Haha. What a ridiculous thing to talk about. You going to tell your child that? Of course everything goes to heaven, even the dust!

It's a business opportunity. From After The Rapture Pet Care - After The Rapture Pet Care:

"A couple weeks later Carol came back and suggested we start After The Rapture Pet Care together. She said she had asked several Christian friends the same question she’d asked me, and every one of them would pay for a service to ensure the care of their pets after the Rapture. I had also asked some fellow Christians their thoughts. In every case they wished there was a way to prepare for their pets’ survival."

I don't know either way if pets go to heaven. In any case, I believe pets who pass away are not suffering.

Do do you need to bring a broom and dustpan? Or do those things also go to heaven?

My dad told me that, within hours of my beloved childhood cat dying...

One of the two times I struck him in which Mom told him he was the one at fault, not me... (the other time was when he made a racist comment about my best friend).

They're there, although some may need to buy some.

As many brooms and dustpans that we've gone through, I'm certain there's enough...

There will be no need for a broom or a dustpan since there is no dirt in heaven.
There is nothing physical in heaven, only spiritual things.
I don't know. The other guy said there would be dust. Argue with him.

Just don't start one of those religious wars over it.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

I find dirt can be spiritual. :)

Yup. It's very spiritual. So are animals. And plants, fruits, veggies, etc. Oooh and especially moss.

Moss will always hold a special place in my heart.

They told me that as a child. That's what began my departure from Catholicism.

Well, my dog left her body just the other day. As a Hindu we don't believe in a permanent Heaven as Abrahamics do. I believe she is hanging around, resting, visiting us. I see little shadows scampering around ... she and her brother who left last year. They were together since they were puppies and were very attached to each other. I am not frightened by these little shadows, so I know they're my fur babies.

Some Hindus believe in a temporary stopover after we quit our bodies. There is a temporary "Heaven" called Svarga or Svargaloka, a pleasant rest area between births where those souls who had injured, ill or tired bodies can rest and heal and because they're getting a bit of a reward for their accumulated good karma. There is a temporary "Hell" called Naraka or Narakaloka, but it's more like Purgatory, for souls that need some "rethinking" to do. Then the souls move on to their next birth. The highest rebirth to strive for is a human rebirth.

At any rate, we believe that all living beings have souls and go somewhere or do something after quitting their mortal bodies.

I don't know what's sadder - the fact that there are people in this world that delude and use naive people or that people are naive enough to fall into a scam like this. Probably the former.
