But you refuse to properly "test the spirits". You have no way to properly judge the Bible. I have asked you how you would do it and you could only come up with failed tests.
No He didn't. He told us a method that has limited utility, because you still cannot discern someone that is a really good liar. Look at all the highly regarded Christian ministers that had their hand in the till or were abusing church members and/or children.
Even if you could do it, how would I know you could? That is part of that subjective problem we were talking about.

I've never heard of an atheist, or a scientist, who believes God has been disproven or shown to be non-existent. Most atheists base their lack of belief on lack of evidence.

Atheism makes no claims, it just believes every claim must be supported with evidence beforeit's accepted, ie: it entails a burden of proof.
This is exactly why we lack belief, the theists have not met their burden. Belief in God lacks a basis.
This is also why we -- and probably yourself -- don't believe in unicorns or Martians.
My 'basis' is the fact that the theists have offered no basis; no empirclal evidence. It's not intelligent to believe in things without evidence/a basis.
Q: What do you mean by "non-intelligence?"

Yes, people can lie but when the gifts of the Spirit are in operation that person is exposed. A persons sin always finds them out as well. There are many corrupt Pastors that are going to be exposed for their perversions. Congregations get deceived a lot of the time because they don’t study the word of God, hear from Him and just take a leaders word.

People can also be self deluded. It happens quite often. When a person cannot nationally justify one's beliefs it is not a good sign.
I wonder why those pastors were able to lie and get away with it for so long? Or why it is often the authorities that find them out and not their flocks? Strange.

The authorities we have are also given by God to prosecute lawlessness. That’s one reason we are to pray for them. So we can live in peace and have the freedom to worship and live for God.
This is why evil runs rampant in our society:
“Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”

When we have rape, murder, theft, destruction going on and people aren’t prosecuted or a slap on the wrist what’s the deterrent? The sentence should fit the crime
