What are the attributes of a worthy God?

I think that's more true of worthy humans. I'd expect more from a God.
The gift of the knowledge of life, given to us from God, via the Messengers of God.
For that we can choose to be eternally thankful.

Weirdly, when I started to think about this, I realized that most of the attributes I was thinking of are in the Scout Law:
A Scout is helpful and trustworthy, Kind and cheerful, Considerate and clean, and wise in the use of all resources.
That probably isn't the whole thing, but I'd say that a god who didn't do all that would be unworthy of worship.

For me a God has to go above and beyond what humans are and do; even a Scout.

When it comes to God, He is the best and deserving of worship. You are thinking of God as a human.
Also He is going to judge us one day and what He tells us is for our good so that we can survive that judgement because those who want to keep doing what is evil will not survive. Getting rid of evil is seems to be a prime concern for God and getting us to change so that He does not have to get rid of us a His motive. It is called "love". God loves us and therefore warns us and calls us back to Him.

In some areas that may be the case but not all. People have been known to judge facts based on their subjective opinions of the subject.
This is what the people of hell think per Quran, they think the worse of the best of mankind, and will complain that they cannot count men who they considered among the worse in hell. Those who they considered most evil will be in paradise. It's part of the reason you go to hell, you can't distinguish good people from evil people.

It must, first of all, necessarily NOT exist given this world. If it does, it is not worthy of admiration and praise.

That's absolutely true, and so many blind themselves to the fact.
All Everything God forgot to make nature harmonious, and sufficient for whatever it is we are all supposed to do. Instead life is thrown to the wolves so to speak.
The believer will chalk it all down to the curse of the sentence death of course. As people arbitrarily suffer and die of course.

Ok? I mean, "If a person did the things my god does, we'd consider him a malignant psychopathic narcissist, but since he has divine magic then god is perfectly good when he does the same things" isn't really a good look, is it? Wouldn't a good god do all the things that the best humans do, but even better, instead of all the things that the worst people do, but even more horrible?
God could snap his fingers and destroy evil. Right now. He wouldn't have to torture, threaten, harm, or gaslight anyone. If such a god exists, I can only conclude that he wants evil and wants to torture almost every being he will ever create. The tiny remnant he spares are relegated to praising him for eternity. These are infinitely bad consequences. I logically can't imagine a more evil god.
