Different subcultures. Gay men and lesbians have their own cultures and ways of doing things. Why don't people use the term gay for women as much as they use it for men? Is it because there are differences besides gender?

Maybe so, but if you watched the video you would see that this person, Beckett Cook, did not go to conversion therapy, or attend Bible studies, etc. He went one time to a church and the sermon wasn’t about the subject of homosexuality. His life and identity were changed and transformed by Christ. That "transformation by Christ" is what they preach and promote. That has been highlighted in several of the links I provided.

I don’t understand this post at all. What do you mean about a world that didn’t talk about sex or that if God spoke about specific things related to sex no one would understand? The scriptures include a huge amount of information about sexual matters and it appears to be very clear that God had no problem providing instruction on what was right or wrong concerning sexual behavior and desires.People choose a conservative Bible reading that's why they think it's sin.
I stay entirely neutral to the hypothesis that since God created male and female... homosexuality must be wrong then.
I permit myself to consider that God, at a time when noone spope about sex in public, could not have differenciated between same sex sex against one's sexual orientation... and same sex sex that's corresponding to one's sexual orientation.
I'm still neutral.
Just saying that in world that did not talk about sex, God could not have explained what keywords like "sexual orientation" "STDs" or "trangender" actually mean. So at a time when God couldn't openly have spoken about these subjects without running the risk of getting heavily misunderstood, he couldn't have differenciated between different sorts of extramarital sex to begin with. Even if he wanted.
I'm not saying that he would have wished to differenciate, though.
Just saying that if he would have, this wouldn't have been possible in a manner that he would have made himself understood by the people of back then. They wouldn't have understood the concept of sexual orientation to begin with back then.
Still I'm neutral towards whether or not Homosexuality is sin.

I'm only halfway through that vid and it's plain as day that that guy had serious issues beforehand that had nothing to do with homosexuality. He talks about viewing his romantic partners as "saviors", a messiah" and giving him purpose in life and a reason to live. That's a very unhealthy way to approach a relationship and speaks of deeper psychological issues. It's also unfair to the person who you are placing on a pedestal since no one can live up to such expectations and it's too much pressure. I know this because I have Boderline Personality Disorder and we tend to do a similar thing called "splitting".You are right about that. Those therapies don’t work and do cause a lot of problems for same-sex attracted individuals, including depression or worse, suicide. On the other hand, I think the transforming power of Christ does work because that is a complete change of identity or as the scriptures say one becomes a new creation in Christ. This transformation is not only possible in regard to homosexuality, but any area of one’s life that falls short of God’s perfect wholeness.
Below is a link to someone’s own personal experience and change of identity, if you’re interested...

No, it's because gay men and lesbians don't tend to hang out with each other.Do you think its because the behaviors themselves are different? I read that lesbianism is more of a choice and male homosexuality is more genetic.
No, it's because gay men and lesbians don't tend to hang out with each other.
Lesbianism isn't a "choice", it's just rarer for a woman to actually be homosexual (rather than bi or fluid) than it is for a man to be homosexual. At the same time, bisexuality is more common among women than men.
No, I don't think most lesbians are bisexual. That's not what I said at all. Bisexuality is certainly not a sex addiction. So you think most lesbians are bisexual? Why would the subcultures being different be why there is a different term? A lot of people think bisexuality doesnt exist and its sexual addiction.

Why is anything referred to by different terms? Why does it matter?
I don’t understand exactly what you mean, could you clarify you question? Why do people say its wrong because God created men and women, and not husbands and wives?

I agree with your point about placing expectations upon others. On the other hand, I think everyone has issues to one degree or another if seriousness. As a person saved by Christ my perspective is the Jesus can bring deliverance and freedom such issues, 1) because He is the Savior and 2) because He alone supplies total fulfillment and perfect love.I'm only halfway through that vid and it's plain as day that that guy had serious issues beforehand that had nothing to do with homosexuality. So he's better off in therapy than in church, which is likely feeding his psychological issues, but he's just projecting it on Jesus now instead of a real living human being. I notice that happening a lot when troubled people run to religion.
If it's due to hormones, then it's hardly a choice.I think most arent bisexual but arent actually homosexual. I think the different physiology of men and women is why their genetics are different.
Why is it more common among women? I believe that its because women tend to relate to each other differently than men do. I think estrogen is why women relate to each other differently and its more of a choice and its not genetic.
Thanks for clarifying.God created men and women, but men and women living together before marriage is a sin. Maybe when people say God created men and women its a reference to husband and wives, because being gay is a different violation of how a marriage relationship works than living together before marriage.
It's not just hormones it's also women relate to each other differently than men relate to each other. People who say that women have an inner lesbian actually agrees with the belief that being gay is a choice for some people even though some people are born gay.If it's due to hormones, then it's hardly a choice.
Do you think gender exists because of reproduction or also to reflect different aspects of God's image. I read that men and women reflect different aspects of God's image. The Bible mentions male and female in the same verse where it mentions that people are made in God's image. Thanks for clarifying.
Well, since the scriptures say God created man and woman, specifically Adam and Eve and God Himself joined them in marriage and then told them to be fruitful and multiply, I think then example that the marriage/ sexual relationship was to be between a man and a woman who are husband and wife. This was also reiterated throughout the rest of the Bible.
