What's better, Ethiopian or Egyptian food?

I need some help figuring out what to eat tonight... Because I typed in "exotic foods" on google maps and it gave me two worthy choices:

Abyssenia Restaurant which is Ethiopian-

Oh, that's a tough one. They are both delicious...

If you made me choose, though, I'd probably go with Ethiopian.

I'd pick Egyptian, only because I've already done Ethiopian a few times. I'd have to check the menu first though to see if it was vegetarian friendly. I don't really like going to restaurants where there is nothing to eat.

My experience is Ethiopian tends to be meat heavy, but I believe there are a number of vegetarian options, as fasting by abstaining from meat is common in the country. Or so says my Ethiopian cookbook...

That being said, I tend to make most of my food at home, so I don't have to worry about there being meat in it or not. Both of my experiences with Ethiopian and Egyptian have been homemade. It can be reeeeally hard to locate Ethiopian spices.

I'm a little burned out on Indian and Thai food lately - I've been eating it a little too much. Plus the mango and sticky-rice dessert is out of season anyway, and that's my favorite part about eating Thai.

I made this Pad Krapow Gai tonight with the Thai basil and garlic from my garden. So good!

I've eaten at several Ethiopian eateries, but never at an Egyptian one.
So I have to venture no opinion.
I hate that!

You are one step closer than me.
I have not had either.

And no, I do not consider Taco Bell Mexican food.

I love mango and sticky rice, along with patay chicken skewers with cucumber relish, taro rolls, and panang curry. :D

I've yet to try either, but would love to. A web search doesn't yield anything in this area, unfortunately.

If I ever win Power ball, I'll invite you and the whole forum to an exclusive Disneyland vacation trip, all inclusive... Dinners and lodging included.

...Then you could eat pretty much any ethnic dish out there.
