And we have a right to be disrespectful if we feel the need to.Too many that fought for that anthem also fought for rights. IMO it's disrespectful to those that died.

The school is in the wrong in my opinion.
Ok. So then being the teacher was disrespectful by saying "go back to your country", it's the teachers right and should be overlooked correct? And we have a right to be disrespectful if we feel the need to.
Because you can want and have a better life and still protest things you don’t like. They are not mutually exclusive. Why protest by not standing for the anthem if they came here for a better life?
Yes, and they shouldn’t have to.So could that be considered as catering to not offend them?

She should be allowed to, and be willing to accept being believed to be a jerk by me.Ok. So then being the teacher was disrespectful by saying "go back to your country", it's the teachers right and should be overlooked correct?
Which is their right. That’s the great thing about this country.Or try to change things they don't like because they are not from here and even though they now live here, they want to live their way because America isn't their homeland.
She should be allowed to, and be willing to accept being believed to be a jerk by me.
I'm inclined to hold teachers to a much higher standard than students.Ok. So then being the teacher was disrespectful by saying "go back to your country", it's the teachers right and should be overlooked correct?

Yes. Doing anything beyond gathering and marching to harm anyone can and should be against the law though.Does the KKK have a right to gather and march? I say no but it seems it's their right as well. IMO rights anymore have one right overriding someone else's right. It's just going to get worse.
She should be allowed to, and be willing to accept being believed to be a jerk by me.
The teacher could just quit. He doesn't have the right to bully a student over political views.I agree. But if they have the right not to stand, doesn't an American have the right to call them out on it?
Yes. Americans have the right to be wrong about american values.I agree. But if they have the right not to stand, doesn't an American have the right to call them out on it?

Basically. One is harming no one. The other is bordering on harming someone. So to you one not standing is expressing their rights and ok but another expressing their right by saying go home is a jerk. So much for that lol.
Ah. So you see people protesting by "not standing" as right but people protesting "the not standing" as wrong.Yes. Americans have the right to be wrong about american values.
