She sat out the anthem in protest. Her teacher said ‘go back to your country,’ students say

Because you can want and have a better life and still protest things you don’t like. They are not mutually exclusive.

Or try to change things they don't like because they are not from here and even though they now live here, they want to live their way because America isn't their homeland.

Which is their right. That’s the great thing about this country.

She should be allowed to, and be willing to accept being believed to be a jerk by me.

Ah now we are starting to get on the same page. It's their right not to stand but then others should have the same rights to call them out and tell them to go back home but the problem is it doesn't work that way.

Does the KKK have a right to gather and march? I say no but it seems it's their right as well. IMO rights anymore have one right overriding someone else's right. It's just going to get worse.

Yes. Doing anything beyond gathering and marching to harm anyone can and should be against the law though.

People who say, "go back to your country," or suggest that someone somehow return to a prior state that has nothing to do with where they are now (whether nor not they actually come from that country) are people who will never successfully be involved in a personal relationship.

Just my two cents.
