There should be some respect for major world beliefs on a religious forum.
There is. There is not much respect for some of the loonier interpretation of those religions. Most Christians here are well respected. It is only the Flat Earthers and the like that are not well respected.

Humans are animals.
In science, yes, they have made a grouping that includes beasts and mankind. God does not agree and neither do I!

Science sees the earth as a meaningless little speck in a self-made universe, and man as a fluke of nature who has no destiny and is related to bananas!

Ironically he is describing his flaws. One of my offers repeated ad nauseum is to discuss the nature of evidence since creationists either have no clue as to what is and what is not evidence or are actively lying. They appear to be afraid to learn what evidence is because then they would not even have plausible deniability to themselves.
For whatever reason, they believe as they do and no amount of evidence will change that. Any chance at change will have to come from within and that would require mental abilities that they either do not possess or have repressed out of use. The irony is that they embrace a view based on a religion that rejects all the tactics they have to employ to maintain their personal, twisted view.

Don't toss out some flat earth strawman as a cover for your serious insults of Scripture, God and Mary and Paul. Jesus said he that receives us receives Him, and he that rejects us rejects Him.

Modern genetics likely started post flood. Obviously that has little to do with origins.

Big problem. We know that there was no flood. And you once again blaspheme by claiming that your God lied.

If man and MOST animals on earth, and most plants also, by the way, could not leave remains such as fossil remains, then any succession in the few creatures that could leave remains in that record is anything BUT a record of life on earth as a whole!

Does this make any sense to anyone? Why do you think that we cannot get a good idea of life over the aeons by the fossils left behind?

The continents likely separated after the time of Babel, and the nature change. It is expected that they were all on the same supercontinent, including man. This is just a misreading of the evidence on your part.

What? Babel existed 200 million years ago? Are you sure of that?

NOTHING to do with you being relatives to bananas and flatworms! Yes, God gave us the ability to adapt/evolve. Yes, in this nature that exists still, albeit the processes are now very slow. Nothing to do with TOE!

Actually the fact that you are related to flatworms and bananas (thank you for picking such an appropriate fruit) has everything to do with our discussion.

Would you like to end "dad rule number one"? All we need to do is to discuss the nature of evidence.

dad, I have never insulted scripture. That was your sin. Being realistic is not insulting scripture. Insisting that the obvious myths of the Bible are true insults the Christian God.

If by respect you mean, believing whatever you say as the absolute truth of the universe straight from the mouth of God, without questioning it, then sorry, I'm a blasphemer and will continue to be one.

When did God say that?
How about bringing him out here so we can ask him?

It doesn't really matter if you agree. You do not seem to understand the nature of evidence to begin with.

Science sees the earth as a meaningless little speck in a self-made universe, and man as a fluke of nature who has no destiny and is related to bananas!
Science isn't a person with personal opinions. It's a method and a tool used to glean information about the world around us.

Except the scripture is not what is insulted.
It is you who is insulted.
Your sad attempt at transferring your feelings into inanimate objects is a you problem.

What I find interesting is how they take their being shown flat out wrong at every turn as proof they are right.

I only wish that they would follow their own scripture and stop breaking the Ninth Commandment. That would be a good first step.

Under this notion, even Christians are blasphemers. I see nothing coming from him as being straight from God.

He left Christian values behind long ago, if he ever really had them.

He is a belief-based thinker that picked a religion or more likely went with the local choice. From there he has added to it. He is not here because he has some valid objection to scientific conclusions or sees flaws in interpretations. Clearly he does not understand science. He just recognizes that a rational evaluation of the evidence destroys his personal, dogmatic perception of reality and is responding aggressively to defend that crumbled mess. Only he and those like him demand that reality should be rejected in order to believe in God. That is not in the Bible and not a demand for belief.

I suspect you seriously underestimate the power of denial.
Oh no. I expect nothing less from him. And he knows deep down that he is wrong. That is why he refuses to discuss the concept of evidence. Those that know that they are wrong can only run away, obfuscate, and make false claims about others.
