Vote For Trump. He Wont Let Owning A Bible Become Illegal

While I think what he said is an exaggeration on the face of it, many politicians do ridicule people which Biblical views not the least of which would include Obama and Biden famous for their small town people clinging to guns and religion quotes. And we have the talk show host Oprah as well who is critical about the Bible. (although she was known as a gospel preacher as a grade school girl )

Oprah preaching with another talk show host Steve Colburn on their favorite Bible verses. Who knew?

How is being critical of irrational beliefs in any way comparable to banning books?

I find it pretty unlikely to happen in the US. The Christian population is surely strong enough to make sure that doesn't happen, further, many of the folks I know who are atheist would argue against it as well. Whole freedom of speech/religion thing.
I would agree with you.
In America a person does not have to leave, by law, their religious beliefs at the door when they work for the government that is empowered of, by, and for the people.
Maybe these anti-religious measures in Quebec and Toronto Canada will inspire political activism there to push for religious liberty laws. If Canada has a Constitution perhaps it will even cause activists to push for a an unalienable right like unto what America has in our first amendment in our Constitution.

Perhaps all this darkness now making law in Canada will inspire activists to push toward the light.
We can only hope. And thank God we don't live in Canada.

The Quebec law is about otherising and excluding Muslims, and the Toronto law is about blatant harassment. Clutch not your pearls, the mean old Canadians aren't persecuting Christians, much as it would float the boats of all the victims of Christian armchair persecution.

"On yesterday [6/17/19] episode of The Jim Bakker Show, Jim Bakker, his wife Lori, and guests Mike and Cindy Jacobs talked about how they routinely pray for Donald Trump.

That in itself isn’t all that unusual… but their reasoning needs some work.

Mike Jacobs said Trump should be praised for surrounding himself with other Christians:

He listens to godly counsel,” Mike Jacobs interjected. “He far surpasses most [previous Republican presidents] in terms of the godly counsel he has around him, that he listens to … Who ever would have thought that we would have a president who so surrounds himself with godly counsel? There is a blessing that comes from that.”
Right. The blessing that leads a “godly” president to put refugee children in cages. . . .

Cindy Jacobs said Trump was becoming more Christian — who knew that was even possible? — and hoped he succeeded in doing something completely illegal:

We’re seeing him become more and more godly,” Cindy Jacobs replied. “We’re seeing him want to put Bible reading back in school. Come on. Bible reading back in school and prayer?”
She says that like he actually gives a damn about a book he’s never read and thinks it’s something more than a cheap applause line.

But the most appalling reason came from Jim Bakker himself:

“All the things that have been stolen from the church, he’s wanting to restore,” said Jim Bakker. “He’s wanting to restore the dignity and power to the church and not take the Bible away. We’re so close — they don’t get this — but we’re so close to the Bible being illegal.[2:08 in the video above]
I promise you the liberal agenda doesn’t have “Burn all the Bibles” on the list. No one’s criminalizing books. Why Bakker thinks we’re “so close” to this happening, I don’t know. He doesn’t either. But if he instills fear into his gullible audience, maybe they’ll buy more Giant Buckets of Food.

Why didn't he die instead of Tammy Faye? :( I suppose even God preferred her company over his (can't blame him as she was cool).

There ya go!
I honestly have no idea who that is -
I just don’t like Wikipedia as a source -

But I love the history channel !!
Yes, the channel that brought us Ancient Aliens and Pawn Stars is more reliable than a site that has controls in place to be objective and fact based.

You have no idea what you're talking about do you. Note that wasn't a question. The law is about otherising and excluding Muslims?
Is that why The National Council of Canadian Muslims made news yesterday that they're legally challenging the new bill? The bill you see would ban burqa's.
That bill prohibits the wearing of religious jewelery and garb!
Maybe search and find out about the bill first. That would help you.

And neither is the Toronto law about blatant harassment.

You're the one who accepts History (it's not called the History Channel anymore) over Wikipedia. That channel has been mostly nonsense for about 20 years. Wikipedia is generally reliable. Editors keep up on pages and people who abuse the site get banned.
