Why is Islam so dangerous?

The Quran forbids murder so that’s an ideology that’s sound. Although the Ten Commandments say not to kill too but when people do we don’t blame the Bible for it.

Things like terrorism and murder are in direct contravention of the law of God.

That is just a shabby word game. There is no
universal standard for "murder". Terrorism?
Same thing.

Law of God? Right. Some seer or prophet
so called, announces that god tole him what
the law is. Some have such a convincing manner
that people believe them.

Charles Manson missed his calling

And everybody figures that their version of
god / religion is the true one, you being no
exception.

Did they need to invade Spain and many other countries to defend their right to exist?

What is terrorism, invasion, murder, theft depends
entirely on who is doing it and who is interpreting
it.

It is terrif to say that 'god" is against unholy acts
like murder. But look at the examples in the bible
and see how it works in practice.
God said "Abraham, gimme a son". God kills
himself in the form of Jesus. God sends angels
to kill Egyptian babies. On and on.
So what is one to think?
Some will say, do not kill even an ant, that is what
it means. Others take up swords and go on
crusades.

And as far as I can see here, every single one of
our theists think either that they have the one true
faith, or, that all religions are equally valid.

Opposite extremes and both of them more
absurd than the other.

The leading cause of murder in the world today is not caused by religion but it’s antithesis, irreligion. When man does not live a spiritual and holy life according to the virtues taught then he can become lower than the animal.
I don't know where you get that load of crap but I do know it is not from any reliable statistic or facts.

Study: "Spritual" people more likely to commit crimes than atheists

Atheists much less likely to commit crimes than religious people (jails report)

The Quran forbids murder so that’s an ideology that’s sound.
I just showed you that Quran (8:39) supports killing people under certain circumstances.
Are you in total denial or what?
How much proof do you need?

Their religion (Islam) is not evil or even violent if you know the history of Islam.
I don't know if you are joking at this point but for whatever reason violence has been a part of Islam from day one based on history facts. The scriptures might be meant to be peaceful but reality tells a different story.

The killers in Sri Lanka do NOT represent Islam or Muslims.. You are promoting hatred , fear and ignorance. Why?
I didn't say that and I don't believe any person committing a crime represents the religion.
What we're trying to identify is why most terrorists invoke Islam as their inspiration. THEY DON'T REPRESENT ISLAM but nevertheless they do use Islam scriptures as their motive. Islam has a problem and many smart Muslims acknowledge that.
Have you heard of Maajid Nawaz?
Ayaan Hirsi Ali: Reform Islam to save it from extremists

Do you acknowledge that the passage you quoted from, when read in full, does not, in any way, shape or form, condone the killing of civillians from another religion under any circumstance?
If and only if you acknowledge this, would any of us think that you are a sincere and credible person, rather than simply strawmanning a faith because its convenient.
I think you meant the opposite of what you wrote.
You said the passage DOES NOT condone the killing of civilians ...
Anyway I do believe the passage doesn't say anything about treating warriors and civilians in different ways.
When it says "convert or die", Is that addressed at warriors or civilians or at all of them?
When women are taking as slaves, aren't women civilians?
It looks like you pretend you know something I don't why don't you be kind enough to tell me where I'm wrong.
My role is to see how an extremist would use this passage to do what they do.
Is it justified for ISIS to use this passage as an example of how to behave in a war scenario? Yes or no?

Well, honesty, that thing about irreligion
being the leading cause of murder is kinda
faulty. One, who says what is irreligion, who
says what is murder?

But the main problem, is that our poster just
made it up.

It seems to be a very widespread habit of our
theist posters,s to just say things.

Who knows why, but it just kills the credibility
of everything they say.

No ISIS cannot rationally justify using this passage at all. In fact the passage you quoted saying nothing different from UN mandates for humane and just warfare would say. There is absolutely nothing in that section of Chapter 8 that is morally objectionable.

And it says nothing about "convert or die". You just made that up from thin air. It says to fight till the end of warfare and chance of a just peace arises, in which case choose peace.

Are we talking about the same passage? I quoted Quran 8:39 and of course , I paraphrased it Let me quote it again:
And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah . And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.
"Fight them until there is no more fitnah", so while there is fitnah you keep killing them, am I right?
"Fight them until the religion, all of it, is for Allah".
I would say that's a very delicate way of saying "convert or die",
You know what paraphrasing means, don't you?

the passage you quoted saying nothing different from UN mandates for humane and just warfare would say
Really? They surrendered and you still keep killing them unless the stop doing "Fitnah" and they still keep killing them unless they convert to Islam.
No, it doesn't look like any UN rule on modern times of war.

The Bible advocates killing people ..You have never set foot out of the US, have you?
No, the Bible doesn't advocate killing people. There are some nasty passages in the Old Testament which Christians don't follow as you know.
Bottom line, you don't see Christians blowing themselves up to kill people while screaming, Jesus is great.
And yes I have lived overseas and travel to most continents.
What that has to do with anything?

Have you read about the Islamic invasions of India? It's considered by many as the largest genocide in history. One diary one guy (forget his name right now) bragged to have slaughtered 150 000 Hindus in a single day.

I used a single wrong word and you have danced a jig since.

That word made in error caused the point around it to collapse.. After all you tried to use the point to establish Irish Republican are only Catholic. They aren't.

As far as the political/religious situation in Northern Ireland i am 100% correct and stomping your foot makes no difference to that.

Wrong as per the very link that refuted your error by use of "any". Still making the same mistake.... again.....

Why is Islam so dangerous?

You're awfully selective. Any other orders on the menu bro?

As I said, the surrounding verses make it blatantly obvious that you are promoting ideas that it is not.

Did they need to invade Spain and many other countries to defend their right to exist?

Did Americans have the right to decimate the native Americas or invade Iraq

Did Christians have the right to forcibly convert all of South and Central Americans and the Hawaiians?

Arabs had been trading with the Indus Valley since long before Muhammed was born… and they not only had trade, they had intermarriage.
